I do ok with selling desktops, laptops, tablets. Just started doing eBay again and in my first and second month I made $750 profit each month. Not much but only doing it part time.

Good job, that's some good extra income every month. Good profit items are always high risk items but you should stay away from those. They will mostly give you headaches and a hassle with ebay. I recommend you do your research and look for non branded items that will will make you some extra income, good source for this is dhgate, alibaba or aliexpress. Best of luck to you

I used to purchase vase's from our local dollar store and resell them for 45$ a piece. I only stopped because the dollar stores stopped selling them. Also, I used to buy clocks from walmart (the 5 dollar ones) with the simple white insert. Would take them apart and have my friend draw super hero characters (Spiderman,batman etc) and then sell those for 60$ a piece with 1$ insurance on them. That went very well until we got two cease and desist letters from Marvel. This was in 2007

So to answer your question you just need to figure out what sells well and buy it on the cheap

EBay can be a good place to sell iphones, video cameras, and other form of high demand electronics; however, you have to make sure that your profit margins are high to make it worthwhile.

Well i'm not sure if this qualifies as a high profit margin, but have you ever considered selling clothing? High end clothing goes for a lot on ebay. I mainly sell men's shirts that i get from thrift stores, garage sales and etc. I'm able to get them for around $4 and sell them between $15 and $40 depending on the brand.
