Ive tried , when i was into Zeitgeist.

Shouldnt be too hard , all they do is usually edit together some stockfootage with their voices on top.

I have been involved in several feature length productions. I just finished assistant producing an independant feature due to be released at the end of the year. It was completely funded by the two directors, and the final scene was funded via kickstarter!

I make 2d Animation and the best advice I can give anyone is to watch movies and compile feedback of scene shots. Also you can add things like deep psychological references and emotions but this depends on the film entirely. Not every film will contain the same subliminal messages either. This might take a few months but try to watch only the best videos and look closely over their scenes. See if you can't mimic it and then innovate on it to make it your own style.

This is way too late but slim that couldn't have been said any better. I've been up all night trying to learn this CPA stuff, writing, and watching boardwalk empire trying to form ideas lol.
