Well hello guys! I've been idling lately because of my job, been busy all around the place and now I think that I am ready to quit my job and start my own business.

I've started building my facebook fan page and investing into it by buying ads to get more likes. im going near 500 likes now, been running the page for 2 months. Total i've invested 48,60$ and from that i got 129 Likes.

I publish 5 times a day pictures and recipes that i give to them, but i think that it is too much, since i want to monetize my page, the picutres and recipes, i get them from the internet and translate them into the native language of the people that i want to reach. This winter i want to publish my ebook with my personals recipes and pictures to them.

I'm telling you this operation is really time consumming, I must sit down every months, and scatter around the web looking for TERRIBLY GOOD LOOKING FOOD. that comes with recipes, it sometimes take me 2-3 days because i cannot stand this process, I must stand up and do something else lol.

Any tips on getting more likes to my facebook pages or getting more visibility?

Time to grab the camera and record yourself making the recipes! You can get more traffic if you post videos on YouTube.
If I'm looking for a new recipe, most of the time I goto YouTube first. Put a link in the description box pointing to your page so they can find you.

you are in the possibly one of the best video niches ever. DO VIDEOS! Even if you don't want to film yourself or anything else, do a picture compilation with some music on it. You can do free PROFESSIONAL LOOKING 30 seconds videos for free on animoto.com, which really look AWESOME. Just collect some pictures, write or copy some text to it, choose a free music, and voila your videos is ready!

Cooking and food niche has big fans on Youtube, and people usually want to see the result (the food, meal whatsoever) live on video.

Perfect would be a vlog (video blog, means making videos on a regularly basis) on Youtube, as it would support your authority extremely, when people can see, how motivated and talented you are on your field. And you need authority if you want ANYONE to buy your ebook. Just ask yourself, would you buy an ebook from a person no one ever heard of? Or would you rather spent the same money on an ebook from Jamie Oliver (world's most known cook)?

If you can, opt for a DSLR with a couple of good lenses it'll make your food look so good. Close up shots of your freshly cooked meals will make it even more appealing to the viewer. They also work as a video recorder.
The easiest video editor I have ever used is the movie maker in MAC (Hopefully you have one) So you might want to check that out. If you're on Windows Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas would be great video editors to use.

Looking between the Hero3, and some other cameras, tho i never had any video cameras so it will be my first time buying one and playing around with one.

I don't think you'd want a Hero3 for recording in the kitchen... I had a Canon T2i/550D before and it works great for taking HD videos and takes amazing pictures. I used the kit lens that comes with it to record video and I bought a 50mm lens to take photos with. Here's a sample of the video quality you can produce with the camera.

If you look through eBay or in the classifieds I'm very sure you can find a used one for a very good deal. If you do have the money to burn you might want to consider a Canon 5D MkII.

You should start your own Youtune channel ... i have watched this chef from India (vahrevah.com) since he started publishing videos on youtube about 5 years ago. Today he his making a good income from his website. Good content will get you the likes from the right community. Good luck

Today, i'm scheduling all my recipes on facebook manually, this process taking long time and i'm feeling less motivated but I am sure that the incomes are gonna be great afterward. This food porn is great looking!

I'm looking for a way to get more targetted traffic and people to like my facebook page, because when i'll be releasing my book i want it to be a big success and to get more people buying it.
Tho for now i dont have a video camera, so i cannot film myself doing this job. can't wait to monetize all this!

Finalised all my scheduling for august on facebook, then i will be focusing the next two days for gathering new recipes across the web for the september and october. Apples will be featured on sept and squashes on october!

Big major events i'm organising for september for my fans on my facebook page. My familly and I are gonna go gather apples the next week-end and i thought of selling apple pies and apple chutneys to my facebook fans! This way, i am gonna get known from people and this is a great way to get word to mouth and socialise with my fans.

Hey guys didnt updated long time ago.

My goal is now to set up a website with Wordpress. I will be making ebooks, dvd course series and offer my services as a Private Chef and cattering, this is how i'm planning to monetize my website. I'm gonna setup a youtube channel and show techniques and recipes to get known and promote my website and facebook page.

What do you think about it?

Now i just have some trouble figuring how to edit my videos since i got absolutly no knowledge on making nice intros and outros, or any softwares like premiere or sony vegas!
