Let's say I have a good blog with high quality content, worth reading. What are the best ways to get readers?

I don't wish to disrespect you but surely you should have worked that out for yourself by now.
Tell us what you have tried then we can give you some advice.

I'm not talking about the usual "write article with keywords and then build links" strategy. There must be something else? More greyish-whiteish?

but hey,u can ask around though,i am still a newbie but with a hunger to learn.

Your question is very broad but can be answered by reading the SEO sections and Social Media sections of the board.
If you have something else in mind then please expand and then somebody might be able to assist you.

Well, the thing is, i get about 3 new articles every week. Must i build links to every single article, or can i just build link to the blog homepage in order to get people to notice it? What are ways to promot single blogposts?

You'll want backlinks from relevant referrals for each page\post, not just your homepage, that's how you can get higher SERP's for individual pages when people search for that topic.

Your site will be indexed, and the posts will eventually be too, but if there's no authority behind it, you won't get great listings.

Are your posts categorized? If so, you could potentially start with just building backlinks and promoting the categories with social media, instead of trying to link to every and all post.

Good point, promoting the categories will certainly help getting more readers!
