How to convert traffic into money?

hey all

So I was thinking of re-launching an old site me and a friend used to run.

We used to get a fair amount of traffic, however it never converted into money, at least not alot.

So was wondering, what to you do to convert traffic into money.

We had those Per Per Sign Up adult ads. They made some money but not much. maybe we didnt have enough traffic? Was around 3500 hits a month

do you guys sell ad space? or have per per click ads? or a mix or what?

EDIT: Sorry, should have mentioned, it wasnt an adult site.

I mean, it did have some adult content, but it was a video site. Pranks, fights, fails, crashes, adult stuff etc etc
all mixed together. The best of the web if you will haha.

3500 hits per month on adult traffic is quite low..

There are people who get 10,000+ unique visitors per day and are barely breaking even.

I suggest you read psychology books and find a way to bring in more traffic.

I see that you have mixed many subjects including adult stuffs, this can be one reason....... if I see the url, I would be able to tell more.
