competitors attacking your site with bad linkbuilding

It's happening to me all the time!
Only thing i can say to the people doing it is you all fucking suck go learn how to do seo yourself.
People doing negative seo are all retards and should get a life,its not our fault that you suck and fail hard in life.

One of my client suffered the same problem, I didn't suggest removing or disavow the link, we just build quality links from aged domains and real home page backlinks and that took care of it. If you are wondering, top sites have millions of backlinks both crappy and quality and still ranks well, why because of the few good links.
It's Google's own fault for opening this can of worms, since when is running a multi-billion dollar company an excuse for stupidity? Now thousands of webmasters spend countless hours chasing "bad links" instead of building and growing their sites; not to mention that penalizing people for building backlinks is like penalizing business owners for trying to advertise their products or services, how is that "gaming the system" is beyond me.... end of rant 
Google opened up the doors to negative SEO as soon as they started penalizing domains for "link schemes" and shady link building practices. I don't even see the effectiveness of negative SEO as a debate. I would never do it myself, I rather focus my efforts on building up my site rather then ruining someone elses. But if you can get penalized for shady practices, your competitor can go ahead and influence your back link profile to make it shady too. Google can't tell the difference between links you made and links your competitors made, they're supposed to be "organic" anyways.
If you're an established site with lots of trust built up in Google's eyes, negative SEO will have a minimal effect, but if you're successful but smaller affiliate site we're all vulnerable to crap hats that engage in negative seo. All i'll say is do unto others as you would like done to yourself.
