Hi, i got 3 MNS currently working with wordpress, everything was working fine, until one day in google adsense the Scorecard complains the Page Speed Performance is bad, in it worst level of red dots, anyone know why this could be happening? its seems that this its also dropping my CPC so its not making the same money as usual, thanks. Any help will be welcome :)

Yeah I'd recommend using a cache plugin as mentioned above, you can also try WP Super Cache as an alternate.

Good luck

If you really want to keep your page speed good with WordPress you really have to be careful about the amount of plugins that you have. Every one will slow it down some. If I was you I would look into what plugins you're using and which ones you really need to be effective in what you're doing. Also the theme can be an issue so a clean simple theme will always load faster.. If none of the above helps at all then you may possibly have to reconsider whether to use WordPress or not. The thing is of course content management systems like WordPress are database driven so this always takes a little longer to load.. I would seriously consider doing straightforward HTML if that's an option..

I'm already using WP Super Cache, doing straightforward HTML its not an option since i'm not so good at it, and it wont look as good as it does with wordpress

I have taken the test mention above, and these are the bad records i'm getting

[h=2]Suggestions Summary[/h][h=3]Eliminate external render-blocking Javascript and CSS in above-the-fold content[/h]Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 2 blocking CSS resources.
[h=4]Learn more[/h]

[h=3]Leverage browser caching[/h]Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources instructs the browser to load previously downloaded resources from local disk rather than over the network.

[h=3]Enable compression[/h]Compressing resources with gzip or deflate can reduce the number of bytes sent over the network.

Your hosting company and its use of shared servers could be killing you as well. I found that my sites poor performance was a combination of the hosting company (DDoS attacks and shared server) plus a number of poorly behaving plugins. I'm still sorting it out all out.

I score 97+ with w3 total cache and does not have this king of error.
IMO, change your cache plugin.

Who's your web host? I've noticed my HostGator websites are much slower than most other hosting accounts I use.. caching helps but it can only go so far..

If you are on Hostgator your website will be loading at dial up speed since they changed to new servers. Use http://gtmetrix.com/ to view load times and suggest some changes

W3 cache doesnt work so great on shared hosting although its always an idea to try and reduce image sizes. Plugins such as smush.it help.

yeah i'm on hostgator, i got a couple of emails that they are changing they servers in the next 7 days, maybe this could be the problem? or it's hostgator in general

yep, the problem is all Hostgator and their recent upgrade to shitty servers. Some of my sites now load so slow they have stopped making money and Im embarrassed to hand out the urls.

This is what i get after using http://gtmetrix.com/

so whats the suggestion to change the servers or hostgator its going to fix this?

Thats actually not the worst by new Hostgator standards. Im getting similar figures for a fully optimised site thats running googles page speed service. Yes its time to find faster Hosting.

Brutal. Am very interested in what hosting company you think is a suitable replacement.
Cheers!

Im still researching but I dont like moving my sites around like a wandering gypsy, so Im looking at a cloud VPS service that I can at least get a few years out of.

i was thinking the same i have almost 20 sites, so its not funny to move around a lot

anyone else other sugestion why this stadistics at google adsense appears? i think hostgator its loading ok for its times, i dont know if i should switch the sites to another server and test it, if the earning increase or not

My Hostgator sites are slow as hell. Google already started penalizing me. I use Speed Page to test and my server speed is in the 5 sec. range. I will be asking HostGator to resolve the spped issue but would also welcome alternatives to using Hostgator.
