I just took on freelance work for a client who wants a simple 4 page website done.... However, I don't have a clue how to work wordpress.org and I don't know where to start with .org? please help what are some alternatives? weebly? web.com? And, they host through godaddy

Congrats for getting the project on freelance, you are lucky as you do not seem to have a clue on what the project is all about.

webs and weebly are web2.0 properties and wordpress.org is where you could get a wordpress script to install on your webhosting account.

Go to your cpanel, and look for softaculous which would allow you to install wordpress in a few minutes. You can find instructions through search engines.

Once wordpress is installed, you may want to set the website up as you want, again look for tutorials. Setup a good theme and add pages as requested and you are basically done.
 
Hmmm, how did you take on work when you have no idea how to get it done?

Wordpress is simple to use, go watch a tutorial on Youtube. If you need to get this done, send me your Skype information through a PM.
A 4 page website shouldn't take long to complete, probably have it finished in a couple hours depending on your clients requirements.

Use some host which installs it for you, job done.
 
You should just make yourself "sick" and drop the job instead of making the mistake to keep that person who hired you thinking that he'll get his websites done - Malaria is a good illness :)
 
WordPress is extremely easy to manage and install probably takes under 1 minute to install .

Most hosts even come with installers that install platforms such as Wordpress on auto pilot.

I'd suggest you to take your time and look up some tutorials it shouldn't take long to learn.

The problem is resolved, I actually found someone to help get a website up and running for my client... we should be finish working on it by tonight! Thanks everyone! that was a poor business move on my behalf! We learn from our mistakes though, right?! If push came to shove I would have refunded my client his money back, and did a website for him for free, after learning.... that is how considerate I am. Thanks!
