Get paid low by Youtube?

Posting it as a thread since i didn't get answer on my question on a old thread.

My Comment:

Wow, i've never reached 4$.
I'm a new partner, and i've made 2-3k views withing these days, and my youtube earnings is telling me 0.04$.
Why do i get paid so low then?
And how can i increase it if its possible?
What's the reason behind it?

I've seen people talking about 1-5$ each 1k views.

I've applied for partnership, but i hate waiting for response for so long..

I think it's about the video quality and video duration. You will get more money if you upload videos with 1080p

no no no , It depends on the keywords you used for that video , It also depends on what your audience is interested in and if the ads showed up for them got clicked.

Generally most paid views are USA , UK , Australian ...

Hmm, i upload game videos, and have been uploading minecraft video recently, but the highest payed video yet, is where i showed my new microphone. It has 301+ views, YT haven't updated its views yet, but i have more views on the others.

Your esitmated earnings can take up to 3 days to update, and remember they are only estimated and not aways the correct amount. You also need to look at your audience - are they from outside of the US/UK and are they using mobiles to view your content? If so then your earnings will be considerably less. As well as this the CPC of ads depends on your niche.. eg. Health niche is known to have pretty high CPM's and obviously electronics/gadgets around christmas time

That is not correct they both operate the same way and most networks offer a % of earnings now, not a fixed CPM.

Okay, i see here on my analytics.
3-5k views made past 2-4 days.
Total Earning - 0.07$

My Top Viewers are from:


United States 2592


Russia 1581


Ukraine 951


United Kingdom 372


Poland 309


Romania 208

But that's still a long run from barely 1$ for just 1-2k views.
But i hope getting partnered with a gaming network i've applied 1-2 days ago accepts me, and hope there can be a difference..

Yes that is a fairly low CPM, do you have trueview video ads enabled? That is where most of the ad revenue comes from. By joining a network they will automatically claim your videos and enable the highest paying ads so you should easily make $1.50+ and possibly $4-10 depending on the network you have chosen.

The highest network i could find was giving out 3-5$ CPM.
Otherwise, i could use a bit help on networks that give more if it's possible.
I got True-View ads on every video.

Yea i guess so, my final goal is propably getting patnership with any network, but i've been doing that quite long, they're so slow to respond..

Hi bro, what do you mean with how long is your video. So are longer videos earning more money then videos that are short? If yes how long is the best video to get the most revenue?

And what more depends to get the best CPM? I would really appreciate if you can give me some info about that.

As long as your video is long enough to show pre-roll ads (30 secs, I believe) then you will make $ from them no matter how long people watch the actual video. If you have a very long video then you can place mid-roll ads which show at intervals in the video (they must be at least 7 minutes apart), this can obviously increase revenue but unless you have some VERY good content then nobody is going to sit through ads ever 7 minutes.

Overall you should be able to make a lot of moneywithjust pre-roll and display ads, but if your content is really high quality then try out the mid-roll and post-roll in stream ads and you should notice a big boost in revenue.

It depends on alot of factors (keywords, viewer retention) but I have been consistently getting around $5 per video with about 1,000-2,000 views. My niche is movie related.
