Blogging with WordPress or... a website with or without an other CMS?

Ok, I don't like WordPress maybe because I had some bad experience.
But I always listen and read about how powerfull is WP...
Ok, for someone who has never used a CMS can be a good idea to start with WP, but if I have already spent years studying other CMS WP is really so much better?
I should really spend more time to learn WP?

Wordpress is easy to use because a lot of the tedious stuff is done within the CMS. I converted our website to wordpress and was able to make everything more uniform. With that something like joost SEO adds little things like an author picture and other social media stuff. So now whenever I make a post I don't have to think about what I am doing. Just post and wordpress takes care of everything else. That is once everything is setup properly. Another example of a plugin would be whenever I post on instagram my about page updates the instagram pictures. I don't have to put any thought into updating certain parts of the site. Everything just works so I can concentrate on just posting blogs.

Another example is when I need to add a new page to the site. I just go into wordpress click new page, create the page. And then just add that page into my links. Bringing in uniform pictures into the new page is just a few clicks and everything is nice and organized. No extra thought on structure or anything like that. And if I want a slideshow? I just click a button to add a slideshow from the pics I just added.

I know that G finds our pictures with ease as we get a lot of hits in the image search. You don't have to use wordpress as purely a blogging CMS. I could delete our blog and you wouldn't be able to tell we are using wordpress as the backend.
