My Journey to $20 per day..small steps

I am an article writer. And to admit I am one of those who usually come in go when it comes to writing. I got scammed many times by clients who would ask me to write in bulk and then run away with my articles. Now that I am about to finish my college, i havefinally decided I would pursue my online career.

Here are my steps.

1. logged back in to my Odesk account and other freelancing sites. (i prefer to work with them because there is a lesser risk of getting scammed)


2. Since I am on a newbie status, I figured out that I have to build my reputation first until I can get good clients

3. I offered to write free articles for some of them in exchange of a 5 star feedback.

4. Orders started rolling in. Currently making $20 for a max of 3 hours in front of my computer.

NEXT PLAN..

Scale up by investing on a website that I will offer writing services..

What do you think guys?

Of course the plan is good keep working on it. For starters you can start scaling up by increasing your prices as you get better at writing.

Can you refer your odesk, freelancer, etc. customers to your website when it's set up?

I'm not sure if that's breaking their TOS but if you can forward them to the site somehow you will most likely turn them into return customers.

I am thinking about that too. But if i can find good clients outside the freelance sites, that would be great.
