Weird dreams?

Jung believed that dreams may contain ineluctable truths, philosophical pronouncements, illusions, wild fantasies, memories, plans, irrational experiences and even telepathic visions.[29] Just as the psyche has a diurnal side which we experience as conscious life, it has an unconscious nocturnal side which we apprehend as dreamlike fantasy. Jung would argue that just as we do not doubt the importance of our conscious experience, then we ought not to second guess the value of our unconscious lives.

This is true. I've had some extremely weird dreams and they meant absolutely nothing.

Dreams don't bother me, but sleep paralysis does! :scared:

You should look into Astral Projection. ;)

Dreams do not mean anything, its a pseudoscience that new age groups made to make money off people.
Dreams are just amplified thoughts when you are sleeping. Are you saying that thoughts mean nothing? Come on dude... You think everything is completely random? Humans are not computers. Is someone broadcasting a television stream into your brain when you are sleeping? Of course it means something. I'm not saying dreams are psychic visions or anything like that, but they obviously relate to what is going on deep in your subconscious.

True that. In many cultures there are actually different stories associated with sleep paralysis. In mexico, they say a demon or something is sitting on you.

On a different note, few days back I had a dream within a dream aka false awakening. I was in my village hometown and fell downstairs. Then I suddenly woke up in a train which soon gave a intense heavy jerk movement (train crash). This time I woke up to the real reality. This is the most coolest dream I ever had, not because of the events, but because it was a false awakening. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_awakening

For me there was no demon luckily. All that happened to me was I was aware that I was dreaming so I half woke up. My eyes opened but I couldn't move, I was stuck like that for almost a minute. Since then, I really hate having to go to sleep.

Also your dream kind of reminds me of a movie called; 'Inception' :D

That's pretty cool. One thing I don't get though is; do you have to stay near your own body, if not I know where I would travel ;)

If you can achieve Astral Projection you can pretty much do anything. I thought that since you've had sleep paralysis before it might be easier. I don't really have the time to focus on this stuff but I've wanted to try it out ever since I first heard about it. It does take effort though.

So are you a lucid dreamer, that is do you exert control and direction in your dreams? If not then this is just a total random dream and your brain just put together a really strange narrative to the workings of some over excited neurons.

Dreams do mean something. I didnt heard any pseudoscience that you were referring to. But speaking from my experience, I faced some dreams, and that all came into true. When all that happend really, I was frightened because I was thinking, if this happend, most of the dreams (the bad ones) will they also become true or was that really night mares...

Anyhow OP - I can tell about one thing from my experience. Guys here may find it as funny, but if you are dreaming a lot about a particular thing, not dreaming; lets say you are concerned and you are thinking , for eg: you always think of going India, or always thinks about meeting your friend or anything that you are concerned the most, the chance of that thoughts becoming a dream will be more.
Its just my experience, also heard this from many others too. Hope you can figure it out something. Anyhow I dont think that you are always think about taking one of your eye balls out and cleaning it....lol :D

I often have weird dreams too...

Once i dreamed ; My grandma was murdered by a famous actor...

WTF

Question Post! :

- Do you wear glasses/contacts or have your eyes been on your mind lately?
- Are you currently replacing or planning to replace something, or making a new addition/change in your life and are anxious about the replacement/change working out?
- When you meet or get a girl, do you act differently than you'd like to around her, either to look better to her or to have her look better to you for things to work?
- Is there something you're currently feeling attached to that you wish you weren't, but the idea of losing it is bothersome?
- Did the eye hurt when it was removed, or was it just the fright of losing the eye?

Now that you've posted these questions I wonder why I even started the thread... lol

- I wear contact lenses, I guess due to my weak eye my eyes are always on my mind.
- Due to certain circumstances there will most definitely be a change in my life though I'm pretty sure the dream isn't related.
- It depends, but now that you've questioned this, I can see what I truly lack. :/
- This one is a really good one, kind of yes but it's complicated.
- No, not as far as I remember. I was only slightly freaked when I thought it wouldn't fit back in, but it did.

Meh... :)

I think that you don't like the fact that your eyesight is less than normal and thus you have to wear the contact lenses. Subconsciously you want your eyesight to become normal and not be dependent on the contact lenses again. That persistent thought could have brought about that particular dream of wanting to get better and clear eyesight.

May be you should get the vision corrected soon, may be by getting the laser corneal sculpting done, or whatever is needed to correct your vision. IMO, go to your eye-specialist soon and get more information about it.

Good Luck!

Last night I was just thinking about Google and you know what?
Sorry I can't tell you that because matt cutts came into my dream and told me not to tell the secrete to everyone what is inside BHW Jr.vip section.

Meh, I've asked about it before, you need to be at least 21 (check) and your prescription cannot change for at least 2 consecutive years. On the other hand I've read a bit about laser treatment in the past and honestly I'd rather wear contact lenses than to have issues with dry eyes for the rest of my life. Laser treatment doesn't guarantee anything and has side effects...

I don't think it's my eyesight though, not exactly happy with it, but I don't really stress over it either...

I had a dream once that I saw a cat and thought it was dead, but then it got up and ran off.

the next morning, I was out and I saw a bin man putting a seemingly dead cat into his rubbish cart.

I've had lucid dreams ever since childhood. Where everyone else I knew could only go along with their dream, I was able to fly, change my appearance at will, etc.

This one time I'll never forget in my childhood was...

One night I got out of my bed (top of bunkbed) and went out my door which lands me straight into our huge dining room. To my left is our china-cabinet layered in mirrors, and it was nightfall. Something caused me to look inside it, low and behold I see an elderly woman with black eyes, white curly hair and a blue dress with white dots staring at me. My heartrate jumped so I woke up, but the dream had every detail of reality.

The interesting piece? The house belonged to my aunt and uncle originally. On the day of my aunts funeral,

she wore a blue dress with white dots. Nowadays I just hallucinate dark figures in bed.

Once I obsessed over my teeth for an entire day. (I had bracers) and the next morning I had a dream where all my teeth was flipped out. Then when I flipped it back in I couldn't shut my mouth. As soon as I woke up I felt my teeth lol. It was scary as hell because after I flipped the teeth back, it just kept dangling, but I couldn't shut my mouth. And every time I shut my mouth I felt like the back of my mouth was getting crushed.

Anyways, I had another dream when I kept fighting with my mom. Basically it was just me walking on the same road I used to take every time I came home from school. But every time I walked on the road I happened to lose my phone. (After the 3rd day I think I lost like 4 phones in the dream) I didn't necessarily lose it. Someone kept taking it from me and every time I went to confront them, it ended in us fighting.

Dreams are so interesting though because they really do express your subconscious. I've yet to have a dream about making a lot of money, but I assume I'm not having them because I'm actually living out my subconscious (if that makes any sense?) I've been trying to do lucid dreaming, but every time I come close to having one, I instantly lose concentration.

Anyways, i went on a tangent. Op, I just googled something for you. You should probably read it since you dreamt about an eye:

Some of these are interesting and I've already come across the link above, meh I'm not really that interested I just found it rather out of the ordinary. I'm by no means obsessed with the dream or anything like that.

Today I had yet another dream, different but sweet. I'm not sure but recently I've been going to bed at somewhat normal hours, maybe that's the reason for having more vivid and memorable dreams.
