How does google know what a sape link actually is?

I have never used sape links...... im more of a build my own high pr network person but i was just wondering out of curiosity and to know abit more about footprints... how would google determine a sape link?

I know sape links are hacked link but to be honest i haven't really been bothered to look into it what do the links look like?
Are the links injected into any of the text even in navigation randomly or just float around? is there any weird code in the html that could possibly be viewed by google or is sape just all php and doesn't go into viewable html?

I have heard how google look at footprints and correlations to match networks but what if you have a website that hasn't got sape links but google "thinks" it has? probably a possibility if google just looks for linking sites and google just so happens to put your website corner with a bunch of sape blogs.

I'm sure this will help a lot of people out...

Basically how does google know a hacked link froma non hacked link? surely it cant really? Maybe the only way google would know is if it was really irrelevant.. broken css or footer link but irrlevant footer links doesn't mean its a sape link right? but then probably comes back to the network thing where websites start to have links in common and what not and the link profiles are a network.....

So google doesnt or carnt look for hacked sites but can only look for sites in the sape network? right?

Who told you SAPE links are all hacked links?

Last I checked, most SAPE links (if any) are not hidden/hacked. At least the ones from good sellers here on BHW. I'm not sure about the bulk of the websites in the network since I don't buy directly from SAPE.

Google could potentially hurt SAPE services by just devaluing links from .ru domains (Websites in full Russian) going to .com domains (Websites in full English) I guess, if they really wanted to.

In short? They can't.

That is to say - the algorithm can't differentiate between what's a SAPE link and what's a different kind of link. That's why SAPE links (when used as a well rounded link profile, think link types and anchor text diversification) are so valuable.

The only time Google knows what link is a SAPE link and what's a "normal" link is when someone manually reviews it. The algorithm has no idea.

1. Register domain.
2. Put site on the domain.
3. Register account on SAPE and buy links.
4. Analyse the pages where those links are.

Do this repeatedly to generate a model and see how this compares to a sample from the rest of the Google index. However, they will most likely make mistake as not everything that has those link placement patterns will be a SAPE site.

most sape links are not hacked, they are set up by the site owners to try and squeeze a bit more money out of the site, a sape link on a page pays the webmaster much more than google ever will.

A small amount of SAPE links are placed by malicious code, some plug-ins create a back door for sape.

SAPE has more than its fair share of utter sh** links, fake pr blogs, recently expired domains with wayback reconstruction etc, sape keep this in check as much as they can. but if you wonder why some pr4 links cost 5c a month, and some cost 20$ - thats one reason why.

As for google detecting it, I doubt it, they can sift thru it by hand and devalue the sites, (only 500.000 sites - and another 3000 every day) but that would totally bend the algo for google.ru and since google only has a 25% search market share in russia with yandex having 60% - they cant do a manual action like that without totally wrecking the search results, like its been said on here before ; if yandex couldn't kill sape in 4 years, then google isn't going to kill it overnight just because matty boy tweeted about it.

I doubt google will ever move on sape directly, they will keep tweaking the algo to reduce the power of links.

or... maybe its all a big conspiracy and Sergey Brin is running the sape network from his basement, keeping all the best links for himself so he can dominate the world dog training video niche.
