No Follow Link Counted as Do Follow in Ahrefs

There is a link pointing to my site, when viewed with page info the html is indeed "NoFollow". However, when I view my link profile in Ahrefs that same link is marked as do follow and is credited URL rank from the link.

What is causing the discrepancy here? Why is my site receiving link juice, according to ahrefs, from whats supposed to be a no follow link?

it either could be error at ahrefs, or the site recently changed the attribute, or the site uses a cloaker script

Thanks for your reply. When you say cloaker script, would that indicate that the site shows the links as rel=NoFollow, but the links are actually do follow and transmit URL rank?

it depends on what attribute is displayed when the google bot visits the site..

Well at the moment the links are rel = nofollow when you view the page source html. So I suppose if google visited it like that it would count as no follow, unless as you say it is cloaked and the link is actually do follow. Is that correct?

well, there's no way to know for sure as one could use cloaker based on various factors.. for example:
if google then nofollow
if ahrefs then follow
if everybody else then no follow
and etc.. and etc..

it doesn't matter what is the attribute when you view the source, what matters is what is the attribute when google visits the page..

Computers are glitchy. It just happens, I get dofoll** from Yahoo answers all the time, but only for a few months at a time. It will correct itself over time, or mine always have.
