This question has been asked several times and not answered: When you promote your own video and pay to get impressions, do the click throughs then view your Ad and you earn .XXX per view? Or when you promote your video, can you not earn from AdSense at the same time?

you will start to earn lil bit but possibily not as much you spent on adwords...after that it will grow naturally and cover its cost

This method worked specially well for OP because if you look in adwords, keywords related to the car crashes are among the highest paying ones ( car insure, car accident lawyer, cost like 70usd per click ) so each click he got he was probably getting a very high amount even if his videos had few views.

...just for fun i uploaded 1 video on my old YT account . got it monetized and started promoting it!

Weird thing...i set up $5/day @ 1 cent/click!

Video got 600+ views in a few hours and ZERO was spent!

OP is that a glitch or it happened to you before?

It's not a glitch. Your video is getting views naturally. It happened many times.

Yes you earn at the same time with adsense. At least that was the case when I was promoting (now my channel is big enough so I don't need to promote new videos). If your video gets Liked and shared many times you will earn more in adsense than you spend while your campaign is running. But that takes some time or you may not even break even while your campaign is running. But after that, you will profit.

Does it matter when the channel was created? My accounts are old if I want a special name I need to create a new channel.

Varied - somestimes $0.01 or sometimes $0.03. But average was definitely lower than $0.03.

I was able to get $.01 clicks so basically you can get 1000 views for $10. So say there are 30 days in a month you can get 30,000 views a month for $300. With that being said, it would take a little over 3 months to get a video over 100,000 views and $1000. Just pointing out the investment involved in this great method in case anybody was wondering. Still very appreciative of the post OP. Thank you for taking the time. Also, I failed to mention the possibility of organic views so this is the worst case scenario.

That's the absolute worst scenario. Even if after 10,000 views you are not getting organic views you are better off aborting that campaign and promoting another video.

With 0 advertising and on one of my videos that I uploaded yesterday, I have over 20 comments and 4000+ views. If your material is good, it will basically sell itself and you won't need to spend any money advertising.
