Tiered link building questions

I have read numerous threads over the last few months, have tried using various different tools in trial version (eg GSA) and have bought some services in marketplace. I have bought web 2.0's that have been blasted by lower tiers of wikis, comments etc, but to no avail and have even blasted some of my low quality sites direct with wiki, blog coments etc that i have bought. Really very little that i have done seems to have helped me serp wise with my sites. SEO is not my main area of interest so I need simple cost effective solutions.

I'm really wanting to go down the line of hand building some web 2.0s eg using weebly with my own unique hand written content - at least 500 words, several pages, unique non-scraped images ( i already have some built)

What I want to know is:
1. how much value is there in a web 2.0 from SEO perspective if you create no backlinks to them.
2. from all the services available at Marketplace ( and believe me i've spent hours wading through them) are their any that you would recommend (no fake reviews please!) for creating links to my web 2.0s that i could reasonabley expect would positively impact my main /money sites.

1. Near about nothing until you create links for your links of those web 2.0 and in current era prefer contextual links i think is good idea.
2. Sorry cannot recommend any yet.

Thanks. That's what i guessed. You hear some talk that web2.0 is the be all and end all. I think really it's just a really good potential conduit for link juice from elsewhere.

Web 2.0 are no doubt good tier 1 backlinks but now after so many updates theory is changed in SEO now you need less links but links to your links and as more as quality content and quality site's submission you do the more the better results you get.

I feel that Web 2.0 sites still hold a lot of potential in terms of Tiered link building.

Just like a money site though, if they're sitting out there with no backlinks juicing them up then, of course, the value that they're going to offer you is going to be low.

Practically every property - web 2.0, press releases, videos, social bookmakers - all require backlinks to be built pointing toward them otherwise they're going to be fairly weak.

I'd love to know of a type of backlink that you can build that's instantly uber powerful without any additional effort. Sadly, however, the vast majority of all of the links we build need MORE links built on top of them to be of any use to us.

This is the why so many people fail at SEO - they realize the sheer amount of time and effort that's involved, even when using automated tools and put it into the 'too hard' basket.

I still use web 2.0 properties frequently though because they do offer the ability to build a lot of diverse contextual links which are without a doubt in vogue at the moment in Google's eyes.

you could try this :
- make 3-5 web 2.0 as a real blog, fill it with 2-10 articles/week within your niche
- each on your post, link it to your main site (1 naked url+1 long tail kw)
- dont forget to power each post with the highest authority social bookmark (reddit, plurk, twitter etc)

wait for 2-4 weeks, see the magic happened to your main site LOL
