Just thinking about registering it and building a site, would it be potentially valuable? thanks

Well if you can build up a brand then yes which is what you should be using it for, in the long run branding beats crappy emd's.

thanks, i was thinking about making a brand of dating sites, but we'll see how it goes

Is it a word, or just a collection of letters?

Unless it's a word or has a meaning there would be virtually no inherent value. The value would be in the site you create.

If that 6 letters has some meaning... it's a keyword related to something that sell then yes, it has a value.

it's not it the dictionary but it's extremely easy to say, sort of like "yahoo" and i believe it's quite catchy

if you have an incling, just go for it, what's the cost, $1?

it takes a lot more than a catchy domain to build a brand or a high ranking site remember.

I say yes. If it struck you as interesting, it will have the same effect on someone else.

As an aside, I wonder if you can put a domain up for lease, for a period of time, say a year. It might be a way of lending the use of the domain, while retaining the ability to get a big payoff if/when the venture succeeds.
