Was staying at ranks 4-5 for 2 months then my rankings suddenly dropped last July 20. Before that I bought a web 2.0 service from one of the BSTs here.

Besides that, all I did was a paid press release, niche-related forums and high PR bookmarks. Is this solvable? If so, what do you recommend i do? thanks ind advance, guys!

What or whos web 2.0 service did you end up buying? If you ended up buying one of the services that spams for pagerank, you might have gotten the fast results they promise, but then got hit by google once it updated and realized its spam.

It should be solvable, you're not de-indexed so thats a good thing.

the ones with 1 unique article spun many times and had social bookmarks/wikis as tier 2. my mistake for going through things very fast, i think.

the rankings were actually stable even weeks after the PR, so it may be not the cause but thanks for the read. will be careful from now on.

That sounds about right. Its a flow over time. I would keep at it with the PR and what you were doing. You can fix damage that way and ramp it up. That should outweigh the junk effect you got. The junk quick fix like many of these providers happens much I see. If you want something done right sometimes gotta do it yourself.
