Question about legal precautions

Sorry if this question is asked frequently but I searched the forums and found nothing.

When content locking pirated stuff, what are the precautions you should take to avoid being sent to jail? I currently have a .com domain hosted with HostGator in the US and I live in Europe, if I were to content lock movies, books, games or something like that, what is stopping the owners of their rights from taking me to court? How do these piracy sites stay online?

Nope! Offshore hosting will ignore all DMCA notice. Most of movie sites or warez sites out there are hosted their website on these offshore hostings.

You have to go with offshore webhosting. Try looking for web hosting in Lithuania, Switzerland, Germany and France.

I also have a warez website being hosted in Lithuania.

First off I don't believe you searched anything at all - because this is one of the most discussed topics on BHW and it has been that way for as long as I have been a member.

You need Russian, Chinese or Swedish Hosting.
You need to buy a domain non .com
You will still need some sort of DMCA angle for people to contact you - so you can evaluate the threat to yourself of the other party.
Alot of these things come down to how much money your making - as to how far the other party will go to cause you troubles.

So yeah you need to be focusing on Providers that throw this stuff in the Bin.

Lastly the most common way to find someone is through the Affiliate Program - So you use a bulletproof registrar and host -- but your using an Affiliate Company based in the US ... Bam they got you ... so you need to be looking out for how to get an Affiliate Company that won't turn over your details - and some anonymous payment source (bitcoins) -- because they will track you down via Paypal or other company similar.
