How many deals do you close per month?

Does anybody know if they're offering this type of services in Asia, particularly the Philippines?

Like others have said, it's ALL about recurring income - getting clients to pay monthly. I only close 1 maybe 2 or 3 clients per month. But I have 20+ clients all paying between $300-$2500 per month. Client retention is way more important than just concentrating on making one time sales.

Well i have few friends who sell their services for 300-400$ and they seal around 15-20 clients monthly. But it doesnt make much i think.I know another guy who just seals 5-6 deals and earns about 10k$ monthly. It totally depends on many factors.

It's pretty easy, going with just the average $5,000 set-up fee and $2,500 a month. In one year you would make $60,000 in set-up fees and then $195,000 from the monthly fee starting over a 12 month period. You would make a cool $255,000 a year, were you saying you can't make a living closing one SEO deal a month?

Average set up fee of $5,000 and $2,500 a month. I guess it's true because you read it on the internet right? or better yet the WF. I think you are in the wrong section of this forum. Take a look at the top of your screen and see where it says "offline marketing"... I am out there doing this everyday in two different states and I can tell you the average business owner is not dropping $5,000 set up fee and $2,500 monthly. It's more like $350 set up and $350/monthly average if that. Of course there are businesses that will drop that kind of cash but it is certainly not the average.

Personally I would rather have 20 clients @ $500 monthly then one @ $10k. They are just way to demanding of your time and if they do not renew their contract and cancel then you take a $10k monthly hit. Whereas having 20 clients cancel at once is a lot less likely to happen. It's all about protecting your current monthly residual income while building that monthly by consistently closing deals and of course providing top notch service and high ROI for your clients. Also make sure you have your clients sign contracts.

OP to answer your question I personally close 6-10 consistently. My sales reps close 0-4 SEO deals a month in addition to other services we offer.

How do my deals get closed?

Some leads or calls come in from my sites and I will partially close those over the phone then email a proposal and contract. Final closing call 1-2 days later depending on how busy I am. And if they did not send over the contract or need more information about the service then a third closing call. Most of these are lay-downs though.

The bulk of my deals lately are closed face to face. I have an appointment setter cold call business owners off of my local county public records website. This way they have the business owners phone number and name and most business owners when starting their business do not have an business phone set up yet so we get them directly. The appointment setter will pitch an offer they can not refuse, set the appointment and then I will cherry pick the good appointment and meet with those at my office or theirs. 90% of these deals get closed on the spot... you will have a lot higher close ratio if you meet face to face. It's harder to hang up on you face to face.

Good Luck out there for those of you who have chosen to take action and risks to obtain whatever dreams you may have.

I'm glad you target the small businesses that aren't making much money. I'm going after the companies who are making well over a couple million a year looking for an online presence. If you settle low, you will get low. Raise your standards and target companies that have money to spend and you'll do much better.

The 20 clients at $500 a month rather than $10k because of time is completely false. Do you not know about the 80/20 rule? All those small clients will keep pestering you whereas the companies who have more money will let you do your thing and as long as you are PRODUCING they will keep paying you. You can't be providing some shitty service that isn't helping the company.

My company targets every business. And my point was seeing as you seem to have missed it was regarding the average price an offline business spends. I make deals happen no matter what, if the price is not there for the client and my employee or myself knows that we built the value in the service then I will work the deal to get it closed and do not leave any money on the table. I started my business out of my kitchen almost 2 years ago and now have two locations 3 offices and a dozen employees and contractors and have my eyes set on franchising. So I must be settling low huh?

I am merely here to offer up some free advice to help out the next guy since BHW is how I first got into this. As for the 20 clients @ $500 monthly V.S the 1 client @ $10k... I speak from experience... my own personal experience. What I was saying about the bigger clients bother me is that they want to deal with the owner of the company and when I assign them an Acct. Exec they still want to speak with me and eat up my time. I don't blame them, why deal with an indian when you can deal with the chief. The 80/20 rule for the little clients is fine because I won't have to deal with them one of my employees will. I'm working on freeing up all of my time so my business is run 95% without me there. Isn't that the point of starting your own business?

I do this everyday and am giving real life examples of what I have experienced. Honestly it's not worth my time to hack it out here with you. Any post I make is to contribute to this community. I see you have contributed as well with "$100 follow me journeys" and requests for "$20 plugins". I have replied to the OP's questions along with others while you still have not?

How many SEO deals do you close a month @ a cool $5k set up and $2,500 monthly?

Why are we fighting? As SEO providers we should be helping each other gain more clients. it is not a damn contest. We are in the same biz and most likely not even going after the same business owners. We should have a community of SEO providers help others build their business. Why? I am sure many buy services on here to use for those clients they got "out there" So it is like keeping the money in the hood. Help each other here, get more clients so we turn around and buy more services from here....Seems pretty simple to me.

So as far as the topic in this post I would like to get more clients. Right now they come from forums. I do not cold call because I suck at it plus work a 9-5 job. I would like get more clients but dont have the resources to do it. I had at one time 6 and I am down to 2. My issues is no matter how straight forward you tell them that SEO takes time they still feel "ok he said 3-4 months but I am sure it will be next week" and they then want to split. So be it but I am pushing to get to my goal of double my work pay.
