So I figured I'd do a little test. I selected a key phrase with about 20,000 other sites as competition. The phrase had top 10 rankings from sites like warriorforum, here (blackhatworld), and the actual service I wrote about (which is number 10, oddly). I wrote a simple article about it on a website that has a low domain authority of 30 from moz with a PR2. It doesn't rank automatically for anything.
The article was just over 200 words. It had the key phrase in the title and in the article.
I wrote the article yesterday. This site I wrote it on doesn't generally get new content indexed for 6 days. Even after it gets content indexed, it usually shows up on page 2-3 for low comp keywords and further down for high comp.
Immediately after writing and publishing this, I did:
After all this setup, I went to sleep.
Phrase Details
The title of the article has 6 words in it. 3 of those words are stop words leaving 3 keywords. 20,000 other sites compete for the 3 keywords.
When I woke up.
I searched and was pleasantly surprised.
I don't know if this will last, but I'm certainly in the top 3 results using this method. I think the key here was randomization using social networks. Using different text and keywords for everything I wrote and purchased. I'm going to continue to monitor this and will probably purchase more tweets and +1s (and even more social stuff like pins). I'm going to test this on other articles from the site as well to see what happens.

- Posted the URL on the websites Google+ page. +1'd the post and the actual content.
- Bought sponsored tweets. I went to seoclerks into the tweet section, then entered the tweet category closest to my niche, I purchased cheap tweets from $1-5. Nothing more than $5. I bought about 10 tweets. The more followers and friends, the better. Important: each tweet was different. No tweet was the same and each one targeted the keyphrase with stop words. Making all tweets unique was critical I think.
- Posted the URL on the websites Facebook page. Purchased $20 worth of promotion to all english speaking users on Facebook. Added the facebook URL to addmefast facebook share/like sections.
- Posted a tweet on the sites own twitter account. I added the tweet as a retweet and tweet favorite to addmefast and socialclerks. Also added Diigo and Delicious saves on socialclerks while was there.
- Tweet posted on another twitter account of mine with 60,000 follows. Added tweet to addmefast
- Setup tweets via Addmefast and Socialclerks (spun the tweet on socialclerks so each tweet a user makes is different)
- Purchased 70 Google +1s from seoclerks. I searched for cheap amounts for under $5. People who claim to give real +1s in a very low amount (IE: 30 +1s for $3). I didn't want thousands of them very fast and I wanted semi-real accounts +1ing.
- Pinned it on Pinterest
After all this setup, I went to sleep.
