how to rank high on msn...method explained

i noticed that everyone was targetting G for their traffic and not msn, well about 6 months back i tried to rank number 1 for a competitive keyword on msn.

The keyword im targeting has a competition of 22,700,000, and i am number 2 for that keyword. pretty decent eh?

K so what i did was buy a brand new domain, and since this was an experiment and i wanted to rank high on msn. i did not want to do a variety of random things like i do with my other sites..

so i started blog commenting, all i did was comment on related blogs, using softwares like comment kahunna and comment sniper, free softwares.

i kept this up for a bout 3 months and then left it.

Site explorer shows 473 inlinks to my site. and these were very easy to achieve i used to do 10 sites per day. thats only 10 valid and non-spammy comments a day this would take about 30 min of my time per day.

now after doing that, i just left my site, not because i got tired or something, because i have a short attention span and started another site

and believe me when i say that i have not touched that site since those 3 months, and the domain is about an year old now.. so thats only 3 months of easy no make that damn easy work to rank you high on serps.

and seriously i can now say that msn traffic is the best traffic, they convert better than google traffic.

i have been stable on position 2 for the past 6 months... doing nothing at all..

did you comment on blogs in the same topic of your website with blogs in msn results? or from where?

nope, they dont have to be on msn. like i said i used free commenting softwares. the one i used most was comment kahuna, its a great free software that searches for related do follow blogs and you can download it from here

just search for your related keywords, make sure u have the "nofollow option" de-selected or cleared and then search..

just comment away, at most 15 per day. not more than that..

cause thats what i did in my experiment. like i said i had a new site and did not want to over do it...

I can backup the_punisher with blog comments as backlinks, I can rank for a relatively competitive keyword on msn (1 mill) with good on page optimization and about 50 backlinks!

Its actually pretty easy to rank on MSN compared to google. I have 6/10 placement on the first page of MSN for a 2nd tier keyword with 2M search results in just a month of work and I didnt even do blog commenting. 2 pages of my main site is at no.1 and 2 spot, then 2 mirror sites and 2 youtube videos. Some of the methods I believe have been already tackled here.

I do agree though that MSN traffic converts well

blog commenting works on MSN because MSN is less sensitive when in measures link strength. There is nothing magical per se about the blog comments.

Any way to get links works more or less.

Usually it is faster to use header/footer links from networks that are out there. Another option is posting on wpmu blogs with your backlinks.

G would sandbox a page done too aggressively but M doesn't care so you can do this with a new domain.

Yeah, I've got a few sites that rank well in MSN and all I did was pretty much the same thing - build backlinks, sit, and wait...

I ran PAD submissions, wrote & submitted a couple articles, made a few pages to the site...and almost a year later, I still occupy 5/10 on first page and 3/10 for another, similar keyword...and not surprisingly, these keywords also rank well in Google too but I don't take up as much listings...

Didn't do any fancy bookmarking, video, or rss submissions...

great stuff but I have a problem installing. When I doubleclicked on CKSetup.msi, a new window came asking me to insall microsoft .net framework, I clicked OK then it took me to a microsoft page, I clicked download button there which took me nowhere to a blank page.
ANYBODY CAN HELP ME PLEASE.....

yes u need the .net framework to run CK. if u cant download from microsoft, then download from some other source. here is a softpedia link for .net framework

ive already explained this, since this was a new domain, i did not want to get too aggressive....just to be on the safe side.

Are you using keyword as your link name in the comment?

i used to look at the page i was commenting on, if other people had keywords as their names then i would also have a keyword as my name, but if there were no keywords then the owner of the blog usually considered kw's as spam. so in those cases i would use my name.
