WTF, My new domain is PR1

I have recently purchased a new .net domain from networksolutions but when i check the domain PR it is showing PR1 and have an 2000 backlinks, according to the ahrefs. How it is possible, did someone also experienced the same. Fresh new domain have PR1

It's important that you find out first if it's a dropped domain because the previous owner surely has a good reason why they didn't renew it.

it's good for you,according to what you say,you may purchased a expire/deleted domain,the backlink may come from previous site,but sometime,this may happen to a new domain if the domain get constant traffic and good quality backlink in a period of time,google will give it PR after update

You bought an expired domain. What's more is that you can go on the WayBack Machine and copy all of the old content to your new site. Google won't flag it as duplicate content.

First of all. You should tell us which tools you're using to ascertain this information. What did you use to check the backlink profile / PR / DA etc?

Further than what I just said - this is a really good quick route to just 'owning' a site. Check backlink profile and set up pages with the exact same dir structure if need be (if it has any real juicy links) and you'll probably keep them. Then make the page relevant to the already 'existing page' and leverage what you can out of the traffic.
