your thoughts on blog pages backlinks

Is getting a link from a blog page (not comments or posts, but an actual page) worth it? since it will always be linked from the blog's homepage and usually these pages get pr as well.

just wondering, as i have never saw any one selling any, people seems to only buy/sell blog posts

Yes, for sure it is worth, especially if it is high pr and do follow

you don't see many to offer this (only private networks offer it mainly..) as this requires people to own and operate blogs to give you a front page link.. while blasting to comments is easier...

in my view a blog post is better because all the text that surrounds your backlink is in same niche as your site, plus there are probably keywords stuffed in it. While on a homepage link it isn't like that, except if the whole blog is in same niche as your site

but remember diversity is a major factor nowadays, so the more variety of different kind of links you have, the better..

The ultimate link would be one from a relevant homepage article that's do-follow and high-pr.

However in my opinion a link on a blog post that's within a contextual article is worth more than a home page blogroll or sidelink, even tough it might have a better PR.

blog post and blog page are same valued for me if both contain contextual article, and both are better than a homepage link
