Recommended ONLINE PHONE SERVICE(question)

Hey everyone. I would like to know the best service to obtain/purchase an online phone number(thinking of Skype) and would it be more feasible than getting a monthly cell plan? Thank you so very much, let me know.

(don't have Bluetooth but heard it's recommended, my company is just getting launched so no large budget yet)

Skype is what I use, and it is incredibly easy. Not necessarily the most cost effective, because I didn't really look into that. It is nice, because you can make outgoing calls, and receive them as well with the added benefit of voicemail right in skype. I really like it, just make sure you get the premium phone number, not the cut rate one, because otherwise people can't call you back.

Skype is one of the most expensive out there. Try other VoIP services. You can have a dedicated number as well with most of them.

grasshopper is pretty good

I actually logged that as a possibility, many will laugh but, I don't have a service for my cellphone at the moment. With grasshopper you do need an active cell# so that will come when I can afford a monthly plan. Investing in my business among paying bills is definitely a balance.

Thank you, I've never heard of this before but it appears to need an actual cell# first, unless I'm mistaken?

If one exists, I'm in search of a program that allows me to speak through my microphone with a legitimate number. Until my cellphone is activated(budget isn't appropriate at the moment) this will be wonderful.

Skype is great, I'd recommend getting that. It's cheap and effective.
