I don't think you'll face any problem by AdSense unless you interlink each sites. Blogger.c-o-m has thousands of spammy sites but yet good blogs are capable of serving AdSense ads which follows their T&C's and policies.

Blogger has more use of google Adsense because google allowed it and same type of many sites which google allowed to post ads on blogs sites.

there are millions of sites hosted on hostgator
just make sure your sub domain doesn't get indexed
use robots file to prevent that
