Reputation and the lounge

A lot of VIPs will neg rep you. They just can't handle this.

What do you have against Jr.VIPS? BlueOPhobia? It seems you TRY to diss every Jr.VIP in every thread...
RW.

why people care so much about rep ! just stay chill ,

Well OP, I'd suggest you take some of your own advice.

OP doesn't play well with others; wants rule changes so he doesn't have to...

My own advice? And what advice did I give exactly. Like the guy said people you deal with would rather you have positive rep. You look at a person with -rep and you think its bad.

And I guess I know who neg repped me now. Lol.

Nobody around here gives a flying fuck about rep

i guess thats why these stupid posts permamently accure on the lounge or threads from high reps claiming to be ironic etc etc.
A good business board doesnt have something like that. Its more like a kiddy board with jokes for underaged teenagers.
I would also suggest to reset the rep points as how do you call it fair that 10 average jr vips have a neg rep power of 30 and a single high rep vip arround 50.Once he gets mad because of somebody the guy will look like a master scammer with -40 just because a high rep got pissed about something

You can only neg rep 1/2 the points of your rep power. E.g, Rep Power 40 = Neg Rep Power 20 (just clarifying)

Not only that but if you have contributed to the forum with quality, the occasional asshole's Neg Rep will have little to NO effect on you..

As far as the OP's suggestion, I'm half and half on it. Part of me thinks it's a good idea, the other part doesn't really care.

I think it's a good idea because ideally a person's Reputation points should reflect their positive contributions to the community. (But then again as I'm writing this, I have also acknowledged that there are positive contributions being made in the Lounge as well.)

I don't care because after you've spent enough time around the community you will be able to tell who the positive and negative influences are.

No one should ever make any decisions based on first impressions, especially not on an online forum.
