Hello there!

Right, I was hoping you lot could give me some advice on youtube channels. I currently do gaming videos and vlogs. I only have around 81 subs at the moment but one of my videos has 1.2k views.

Now, the video with 1.2k is monetized, but I am not looking to make money yet, I do enjoy making the videos and whatnot. But I am not desperate for money. YET.

I've got a competition coming up soon which I am going to do a video for. I was wondering what is going to be the best way to get ORGANIC views, traffic ect.

I hate to be that guy, but I never really understood the whole adsense stuff if someone could explain that it would be great

So yeah, it would be awesome for people to help me out maybe explain how to grow ect in a simplistic way that would be really appreciated!

I believe you can't monetize your gaming videos with AdSense ads, coz there you'll showing and talking about games which you don't own copyright.

Look around to see some methods of how you could rank your youtube videos. You need to get a video viral so your channel will be noticed, some people tend to purchase high retention views, likes, subs and comments to make their channel and videos look more active. Hope this helps

Thing is, that is not organic and is it not obvious that I am buying views, likes ect? To the point people will be like, oh haha he bought his views subs ect

You need to optimize your title, description, keywords etc to make sure that when people search for similar content your video comes up first. Have you checked the youtube keyword tool to see the monthly search volume? If it's low then no matter how much Youtube SEO you do you won't get many views.

Also about monetizing your vids: Depending on the game you should be able to monetize the vids, as long as you have commentated/edited them in some way as this is deemed as fair use. Contrary to belief there are NO licenses involved with gameplay content. I own a content network and I monetize some gameplay with no problems and have been in contact with game companies who have told us that you don't need a license - they just let you do it. The only ones who enforce licensing with content ID are games from nintendo as they monetize them for themselves.
