When choosing a host, do you check out the location first or just dont give a damn?

I mean if your target audience is in the UK, would you use hostgator even though they are based in the US?

I had a horrible experience with hostgator. Also, I dont think they have the cheapest hosting.

Media temple is good. however if you want affordable one go for stablehost. I just got shared hosting over there

im looking for the best shared host for speed, siteground is good but im not paying $25 for a setup fee, i have never had to pay for a setup when buying hosting before
