Advertise Facebook page with another Facebook page

Hey guys,

I own a Facebook page with 159k fans. It's about a general topic. However, I am trying to establish a new not so general Facebook page (a brand). I planned to share pics and posts of the brand page on my 159k page, dragging fans from the big guy to the brand page. But it seems that the reach of shared posts is way less than if you upload pics directly. How come?

While I get around 1-2k likes per regular image upload on my 159k, I only got like 20 likes for the shared picture and hardly any fans on my brand page.

So that method doesn't really work, I guess. And suggestions on how to take advantage of the big ass page for my new brand page? I am clueless right now

The big one is not really in any niche. Title says something about nice weather. The other one is fashion, lifestyle, life.

It's weird because the reach when I share a pic of the smaller page on the bigger page is much less than if I upload it directly, no matter what pic I share.

Shares of other pages do get less reach, that's how facebook pages work. You get good reach for images, even better reach for videos sometimes and text gets the best reach if all the likes are organic. Share your brand page not more than 5 times a day and slowly you should see results, but that comes at the expense of your 159k page becoming dead slowly.

The best strategies will be

Sharing something informational. If the user is willing to like the page, He or She will like it. (White Hat)
OR
Share Fake News as RamYh96 said, It will increase the likes. Best will be creating an even and invite people. In the Event details add the Page Link as a Requirement to enter into the Giveaway. So whosoever will like the page will get iPhone 5. Blah Blah Blah. (Black Hat)

Ye, I am aware that sharing too much will killl it, that's why I am not doing it. I am currently uploading like 2 images and one shared. Images get around 1-2k likes, shared ones about 50 So that isn't the right way, obviously.

As for the Iphone 5: I think that's more fraud than it is blackhat. They will claim them after a while and I can't really afford 50 Iphones Fucks up the rep also.

There must be any advantage that I have a huge active page like this. There MUST be something I am missing. I just didn't find out yet. That's why I went here

I've tested this myself. Shared pics end up way down a users newsfeed over a pic post. Hence, less engagement on shared pics from your existing fans. Facebook at it again. Interestingly, shared pics from a personal profile (rather than a fan page) don't seem to be affected.

That really sucks. So I have a big arse page and it seems that it isn't really helpful for my new page. I thought many of the big guys out there boost their smaller pages with their big pages. I was wrong, obviously.

All is not lost. Just a little patience is required. Create a couple of new pages. Grab some good content. Slowly share some content to your bigger page. Allow the new pages to grow. When those pages get bigger, create some new pages, and repeat. Also, keep searching the forums for other threads about other growth methods. I reckon about 90% of people fail at this game because they give in too easily.

ma advice is, change profile picture on page, it must be viral picture, and than share this url page on your 150k page with good text
