found that the forum posters claim that they have got the free hosting from the above domain provider..:D

The forum members claim that this is true but when i signed for this it did ask for the cc...I did nto go further... On Jan 15th someone has also commented in the same thread... I had a chat with the regi#ster.com and they asked me to call them to claim the free domain service... yet to give a try and also to find out if this is still working link...

Steps...
1. On the homepage select the domain you want, make sure it is a .com/.biz/.net/.org/.us/.info
2. You'll go to a new page, click on "Register My Free Domain"
3. Sign in to your account, or create a new one. Click that your domain will be used for a small business. It doesn't have to be, but that's what they wish you'd use it for. I already contacted them about this, so no need to fuss about it.
4. You'll continue and go to an order form page, where they'll put 9.00 for privacy. Remove that from the cart, and it'll say
Domain 0.00
5. Put in your C.C for verification, and make sure you turn off auto-renew so they will not charge your C.C after the year is over.
6. That's it your free domain is there.

This is an old thing and have been published several times in the forums. Register offers "try before buy" domain registration service. It's free for the first year, then you will pay starting from your second year a fee higher, than cheap registrars used to charge you.

yeah 35 bucks for second year is kind of high. but we could transfer after 60 days right?
