I must admit I learn a lot of things from BHW.
But when i open any threads about seo , always can find a lot SEO "guru" telling people false information.
some example :
1.sitewide are bad,
2.you have to mix do-follow and nofollow
3.link velocity ,don't building links too fast
4.too much irrelevant links will hurt your sites.

Are you sure you really know seo?
Well ,When you telling other people these "truth" ,did you do any experimental verification these theory? No ,maybe you just heard from other guru.

I think nobody would advice you here untill unless he isnt sure of something.

Ignorance can definitely cause you to waste time / money / opportunity. So you're right about the gurus.

There are no hard and fast rules though you can typically rely on some general guidelines. It can vary drastically between niches though. Best thing is to see what is working in a specific niche and do your own tests. It's always nice to try to rank more than one domain in a niche with different split-tested approaches if you can. It's hard to be scientific but over time you get a feel for what is going on.

The freedom to digest or regurgitate information given to you on this board or any for that matter is a privileged we all have. At the end of the day, threads that start out claiming facts are often the start of interesting discussions.

OK ,if you can't sure something , then you can't play guru and telling people the "SEO rule"

Some of the above is patented by Google, such as link velocity. Otherwise, the bullshit is mostly spread by Matt Cutts.

The truth is: Offsite SEO = lots of relevant links.
The skill is: Make a lot of relevant links while avoiding manual penalty.

I send thousands irrelevant links to most of my site , usually after 1-7 day ,my sites will get ranked .
So anything about link velocity is BS.

I'm in Internet Marketing from last 6 years but I'm still a student.

You are totally right .i have the same feeling .

Thats a fine short term strategy.
i think is not.
i have a site target different "how to " style keywords, all keywords get huge amount searcher , i sitting in the first page(most keywords are #1to #5) already half a year.
i have been push a finance relate keyword from page 2 to #2 after 1 week. actually ,is #1 right now.

Yes even irrelevant links help to rank in serp but after 1 months the rank will drop.

There are ton's of people on here who think because they've read a few SEO articles or tutorials that they are instant "SEO Guru's" or "SEO Expert's".

Unfortunately there is more to SEO than just reading a few articles then opening an SEO service just by copying packages from an already established sales thread that's already up.

The basis formula for the ranking remains the same. People have developed different methods to do this, you can have your own and you can be proud of it. Other people have other methods which work good for the and which do not work good for them, they simply share it here. The thing which you need is listen to everyone then check it and get your own output.

I rarely see anybody announcing themselves to be a GURU.
If anybody gives advice regarding SEO it has to be taken that it is their OPINION.
As with everything nobody should take one source to be FACT.
Everything has to be TESTED before it can be proven to be EVIDENCE.

i know a lot of seo newbie open bst threads selling their services . i had some conversation with someone who had high reputation, obviously he know nothing about seo ,but his bst thread selling very well , I mean very very well .
