A Solid Authoriy Website - A journey to xx,xxx figures/month

First, hello everyone. I won't bore you to death with my story so I'll be keeping it short:

I started IM full time approximately 2 years ago with adsense. I had ~16 websites that were getting me a nice sum of money and after the almighty panda hit, I hit the sh*tty hole.

Needless to say I was going towards poor man's land and just worked here and there, making some bucks but nothing serious.

I tried everything under the hood but didn't really stick to one method and the time has come to think about getting a solid business.

Lately, I was involved in working for others on major freelancing sites like odesk, elance and some other platforms.

This is the story of my life

Now the idea:

A huge authority website with quality content, quality reviews (after reading the actual products), my own product and basically making it a long term source of income.

What I Have:

1 website with ~50 articles
1 high quality product
40 email subscribers (averaging 2-5 new signups daily)

What I Will Do:

I will post daily stats and work done on the website to motivate everyone here!

I will also do keyword research and post 2 high quality articles written by me, daily.

I will also do SEO (my own twisted methods).

I will report daily traffic updates, commision updates, etc.

Building authority takes some time and patients so if you want success, you will have to follow through till the end. Positive results will only start to become more exponential for you as time goes on.

Im looking to get into authority sites too, its a big commitment to make regarding both my time and my money. As above posters have mentioned, you either go all out, or make very small returns.

Day 1/60 - Establishing the right mindset 07.03.2013

What I did today:

Keyword research - found 2 keywords

Wrote and published 2 posts (over 1k words on each) - competition is low-medium (I don't really care too much here as this will be a long term project and SEO will be ongoing).

Created 10 aweber emails

Drank 1 liter of milk with 4 cups of protein powder equaling ~140 grams of protein in one sitting.

Can't wait for toilet time :Flush:

NOTES:

Wow, I can't believe how motivated I am now because of you guys! (I'm not a kid, just excited).

I already put aside ~3000$ for this project so I can fully work only for this website and I will also do some side freelancing work (3-4 h/day) but I won't count the earnings from that.

My goal is to go over 50$/day in 60 days just to prove everyone that it can be done and I will put some of my methods here.

I will try, perfect and share anything here or on some video tutorial so everyone will be getting something in the end.

What I want:



PPS: I made this a goal for me because as soon as I get the $, I'll get one of this baby.
I don't want to spend more than 5000 euro's on a car so this is enough for me.

Dont waste your money on protein powder, you can cook high protein meals far cheaper and they will be far better for you.

And dont forget to work out .. best for protein is chicken from some good bbq place .. and lots of spinach in your diet ..give you fiber and iron
also much better than protein shake is egg whites , remove the yellow and drink or cook the egg whites.

Well, I'll use every kind of traffic source I can test and report here the results.

For the moment, I have a huge SEO plan to put into work with some custom things set up and ready to attack my keywords.

I think it also matters in which niche you are in.

Well to be real, I think that somewhere around 90 days are enough to see some solid business. Over 50$ daily and also having a never ending source if you work on it for a long time - that's what I'm looking for.

Day 2/60 - Getting Used To Writing 07.03.2013

How are you actually doing keyword research and determining ranking difficulty?

With 3000$ for this project I would push it more "heavily" mate. What I mean is outsource articles, and get services with high PR, SEO and all that. It's much easier. Remember time is money. This is the most important thing, and millionaires know it. Money are just printed papers which are infinite, your time is not. Don't make this a very long journey, work smart and with the money you already have, you can invest and become authority in no time.

PS. I want to get a bmw (2nd car) hopefully by the end of this year, but I want an E30, I simply love it. E46 is nice as well, get facelift it's much more reliable (the ones with headlights upwards).
