Can Competitors Sabotage You?

This is plain dumb. There are much more effective methods. Spamming is only a part of the whole. Not very important one.

The 301 method I posted is great for ranking sites, its also great for dropping them after the ranking increase. However even with privacy i think there are ways someone could find out who owns the domains so it snot safe(luckily in fact!).

As I said, blasting is dumb. Link disavow tool is good. Not the tool itself but the whole sheebang around removing "bad" links people go crazy about.

There's a whole industry grew out of "bad" links. Tools, analysis, services. Link cleanup is quite a common SEO activity now.

When good link are good and bad link are bad, what should you do for SEO? Increase the number of good links and avoid bad links.

Now, what do you need to do to nSEO?

OK, I've given away too much already. I don't do that myself but I know how well it works, so I'll shut up.

On the link disavow tool. I wonder if people will begin accruing webmaster tool accounts. I am pretty damn sure if say 20 webmaster accounts place a whole domain inside the disavow tool then it would get a site penalized.

I'll drop one last hint.

Kevin Mitnick performed his best hacks using social engineering, not some technical wizardry.

The only problem you face here is an online gang war if they find out. There's nothing illegal in 301 to someone else's domain.

Wouldn't you be better off spending that time and money on making your own website rank well since there are no guarantees that once your website does ranks well that it will continue to rank well in the SERPS for the long haul. I mean that is like trying to sabotage a really good athlete by doing some long term damage to him or her and in the meantime there are hundreds if not thousands of other athletes that are moving up the ranks. Stupid!! and a waste of time.

A stupid thug with a baseball bat can break both legs of this fine athlete on a car park and end his athletic career forever. That's true.

The problem is not that but the fact that police is not only doing nothing about thugs but they've set up the system so it's easier for thugs to do it and get away.

The thing is that top spot or number 1 gets a lot of traffic. I'm not sure about these statistics that I am going to say but I did read it somewhere. The number 1 spot for a keyword in page 1 gets 70% of the traffic. Number 2 gets 20%, and so on. At page 2, very little. So if you are number 2, you may as well do negative seo. But people that are number 8 and so on do it too which is kind of dumb because there will be very little increase in traffic.

Lol, I'd like to see a runner who's Achilles heels are cut :D - don't think he'd rank so well after that ...

Anyways, it wouldn't be better to stick your time and money in ranking when you know someone is gonna hit you with NSEO, unless you (as previously mentioned) are a BIG company like eBay etc.

if you want to make your competitors drop, all you have to do is do exactly the same things to their website, that you did to your's in the first couple of weeks, when you thought, seo is about buying tons of links on ebay :-) the things that hurt your rankings by accident, will hurt their rankings on purpose.

hMMM...

So you guys are saying that if somone "post neg chit" about another website...that will lower its SEO rank?

Why can't you use that NEG CHIT to your advantage?

Because good and long lasting nSEO is as hard as good and long lasting SEO.

Spamming to nSEO (A) might not work if the hardcore high PR is involved and (B) easily discovered and you don't want to start a bloody war between families.

I agree! Someone seems to always find a loop hole. I think these people think outside the box
