"you don't need links to get PR"

You need backlinks to get PR. Period.

Now kindly close this thread.

remember the name of the idiot that said you don't need links to get pr
and remember he has no idea wtf he is saying, ever

Soooooo lets say you don't agree with this, and you can earn PR with only "quality contents and social signals" blah blah, who the F$*@ cares?

The PR of your site has nothing to do with how well you rank.

This is not true also. I mean we all rank sites with blackhat and spamming so it is understandable that you will have this point of view. We all have pr zero and pr NA sites that are in page 1.
However, if you are using whitehat, it becomes easy to see that the higher your pr, the more traffic you get from g00gle search engine.

Yes your saying wright but i have more then 100000 even though my Page Rank is 3 only it is not increasing . Tell me what i want to do ?

Public PR is only updated every 3 months or so.

I highly doubt you have 100,000 PR 3 backlinks.

WTF are you talking about?

PR has nothing to do with traffic.

Also if you are using "white hat" links, you are still building links, which is what gives you the PR.

This thread is about "Magic PR" that appears without links.

As long as people keep putting stock in superficial stats like PR and Alexa rank, they will keep appearing to matter when they don't, nor are they accurate mathematically in any form towards their "respective" score.

Everyone have to know the PR it for keyword diversity.

You don't build whitehat links. There is no such thing as white hat links that are built.
All types of creation of backlinks are blackhat or grayhat even article creation.
White hat links are links that you get from people who found your site through advertisement, random blog surfing, and etc. When they like your site, they create a post about it.
Learn SEO jargon first please before talking about things you don't know.

I'm sorry I didn't understand your broken English. You said "if you are using white hat" which I assumed you meant building what some refer to as "white hat" links. As you know there are 2 definitions floating around for "white hat". I agree the true definition of white hat is write content and sit on your ass until someone finds it.

But you are the one who does not know what they are talking about. If you think higher PR means more traffic, then you are incorrect.

You can have a high PR site and zero traffic. All PR means is that you have some high PR sites passing link juice to your site. This has nothing to do with traffic.

I have a website with about 50 backlinks to 5 different pages having PR2 and PR1 on every page (even contact page).

Good internal link structure and quality external backlinks and you won't need much backlinks to get a high PR.

But you always need backlinks to get PR.

I said high pr AND WHITEHAT site. Whitehat sites with increase pr means increase in serps and g00gle traffic.
This is easy to prove by just looking at certain niche.
But I won't give examples since I am making money on these niches. Not going to jeopardize my $400 a day income over some argument.
If you don't want to believe, you don't have to.

Ok, but if I buy 30000 backlinks, google don't penalize my website?

Don't quit your dayjob.

Why people write that much about not so important things these days...

To add something:

2 years ago my friend had a website with a lot of content. Never build any backlinks. Not sure he even know what's that. He had some visitors every day (from social networks). Once I've checked number of backlinks for him and it was something below 300.
He had PR4 most of the time.

I have built one review website with 4 articles one year ago. Made 5 backlinks and decided to forget that website.
Website got PR3 in next 2 weeks.

Well a lot of people like me try not to divulge too much info so it isn't bad to argue about things that will not hurt my income.
Most people in here are not worth helping. Even if you help people, most of them are too stupid and procrastinate too much to even get any value from the wisdom that you are teaching them. This thread is actually the perfect example. I'm telling people some factors on how PR is calculated and people can't even figure out something so simple.
It is the ones that are just lurking that you have to watch out for.

Don't quit your dayjob.
I don't have one. I don't even need to work. But I just have this tremendous hunger or feeling in my bones that if I keep working, I maybe able to get a lamborghini aventador in 2 years if everything works out as planned.

Google will penalize the site, you have to build the links slowly. Please read some SEO guides, since this is a really basic/beginners qeustion. If you start building links without any knowlegde it will go wrong, for sure!
