Amazon Journey to $50/day

A little about myself. I'm not new to the IM world and have been doing IM for over 2 years. During the start of my IM journey I used to create MNS and had created a lot (20+). But since Google killed MNS (well not completely, but its not that easy now) and banned my adsense account (google apparently doesn't like Indian clicks) I haven't started any project of my own.

Having said that, it does not mean I didn't earn anything till now. I have been working as a web designer/ VA for sometime now. The money is not so lucrative but its enough to get me through.

I chose amazon affiliates for one reason - its the closest I can get to generating a passive income. I dont know much about it but hope to learn as I progress.

I will document my progress in this thread as and when possible.

Ordered some low competition keywords from a seller here on BHW.

Also looked at some themes for the website. I'm hoping to write atleast 10 articles for the website but we'll have to wait and see what the niche/keyword is.

Received my keyword. The niche is clothing. I'll have to go through the keyword thoroughly and setup an very good informative website.

Will also need some ideas to write articles on. Maybe you could give me some ideas?

Anyways, I've registered the EMD in .org

PS: This journey will be slow as this isnt my main project, it is a side project but I'll be sure to update it regularly.

Researched a lot about the keyword and the niche. Its very difficult as there isnt much direct information about the niche I chose. But its also a good thing and if I get some great articles on my site, it'll be easier to make the sales and rank for it. But I think research will take a few more days.

Also, since this is my side project I can dedicate atmost 1-2 hours daily to this, so I reckon this'll be slower than I thought.

Rise from the ashes!!!!

So here is an update. After almost 20 days, the site is up and running. Themes are done, affaliate links are in place and the articles have been posted. I wrote the main article myself (2000 words) and outsourced 5 to iwrtier. I got pretty decent articles tbh.

Now waiting for it to get indexed and then I'll run a few link building campaigns.

Cool, good luck. The thing I dislike about Amazon is the low commission. But I love their long cookies and the fact that they are the best at selling to their customers. You'll end up with all kinds of commissions on crazy items you never promoted, just because people order a lot of stuff from them when they do. Best of luck. I'm interested in seeing this journal continue to grow.

Optmimized all the pages and post for search engines. Made the posts pretty. Now time for some link building. I'll probably buy some services from here. Any recommendations? I'm targetting a very low comp keyword so should'nt need much link juice to rank on page 1 atleast.

UPDATE

Created web 2.0s today using SE Demon. I've set it to drip over 7 days so we'll see how it goes from there. I dont know what I'll do tomorrrow, maybe just create more content for the site. Not sure though. Any ideas?

UPDATE:

Posted one more article to the blog. Saw some serp rise today one of my secondary keyword is ranking at #8 on page 2. Not too bad for 3 days of link building, eh?
