Hey I perform seo for a company and I use SENuke often to build links making sure I use diverse anchor text and content in the articles related to the website I do use low quality articles but this has never been a problem just putting it out there as info. After the google update we dropped off slightly and ever since we have been all over the place on the search engine results dropping 10places going up 10 places it's almost completely random. It does not seem to be settling down, the weird thing is this seems to be happening to keywords that I would not expect that have good backlinks pointing to them and have always ranked well. Keywords with less backlinks and spammy keywords actually seem to be ranking better soooo im alittle confused.

In terms of onsite SEO it has always worked well the only thing I think I may need to change is we made about 100 pages for area specific keywords for example "keyword + area keyword(example london)" and that is used in the page title, description and page content. These pages rank well all of them are on the first page of google for there keyword with no backlinks for them. I wonder if they could effect our main pages badly because I can't figure out what's causing our most important keywords to jump all over the place.

Any advice is welcome

Thanks

You mean it's duplicate content on your site with the page title different for each town? You can get penalized for that if that's what it is.

When you say low quality articles, are you referring to scraped articles? This may be the problem and try and dilute the anchor text with some naked urls. Watch your link velocity and maybe build a lower amount of links but higher quality for a while such as high pr blog posts. Mix this in with plenty of social signals and you should be good to go.

Each page uses similar content but is spun with the keyword for the targeted location included. As i said these pages themselves rank really well alot of them are first on Google but could they effect other pages on the site?

Yes alot of the content is scraped articles, I use alot of social websites to link to our website such as Google+, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. What are naked urls?

Unless your site has a solid backlinks profile I would avoid senuke or any other automated system.

Too many beginners blast their way into a quick google penalty that way.

When i first built links to the site I only ran one campaign then each month built more links. I always drip fed them to indexer services. So I don't think that's the issue but it could be. My only problem now is do hold of building links or keep going, im always using social links from services I talked about above.

Sometimes the best SEO is no SEO.....

Did you get any messages about suspicious links on GWT?

Automated is the best and the king if used properly!

Dance should settle early July btw. Forget trying to figure out where you stand until then.

Hope it wasnt a serious company with main revenue from google

The keywords that dropped brought alot of traffic, but we cover a range of keywords. On other search engines we still rank 1st it's just Google being a pain.

google lately has been cracking down on low quality content with low quality backlinks
