hello , if i bought windows VPS with windows XP OS can i use it to edit , create watch video ?
i know that if use windows server 2003 and 2008 there are no sound . that's why i wanna use win xp or win 7 vps .

1. Windows server can have sound- just install windows experience features.

2. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but even with 1gbps port I've never got video to display well at all over a VPS.

creating, rendering video needs a lot of resources RAM, CPU etc. you need a very expensive VPS to do that. just use your home pc.
use VPS to download/upload.

^^ IMHO its not feasible - I have a dual quad core Xeon, 24GB ram, 1GBPS port and still it will not play video smoothly - video just cannot stream over RDP connection.

Using RDP to connect to VPS will always have issue regarding graphic performance. Editing video remotely will introduce some lag, no matter how speedy and close you are to the geographical location of the server. So yes, I'd recommend that you use local machine instead.

If you have good internet connection, uploading finished videos shouldn't be a problem too.

Exactly you can use Windows xp VPS for video production. Movie maker is here to serve you in batter way.
