Well all this Next-Gen BS in consoles have really pushed me into building my own Gaming PC and i want to build my PC at around January so that i can have a clearer picture of PS4 and X1 and build accordingly (~2% chance of going console way) so what i have already figured out is this -
SSD - http://www.flipkart.com/samsung-840...BTAB&ref=45171d4e-d5eb-4c80-9648-65774eba8b14
HDD - http://www.flipkart.com/wd-blue-wd1...QRTQ&ref=3cbf49fe-c215-4135-a447-28e03186c810
Cooling - http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-h10...BXZC&ref=3c845adc-2937-4402-9a98-6d9f67d2777f And a couple of fans (~2000Rs.)
RAM - http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-ven...YAXY&ref=f3b70d4d-34de-4a78-96e3-cf9a154d2f7b
Cabinet - http://www.flipkart.com/antec-eleve...ZCCZ&ref=a1a8c578-33dd-4888-bb10-8dc590028ba4
Power - http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-cmp...ZSSK&ref=d964bca3-9c3a-4f8f-8b5e-4e443793848f
Kindly suggest me some a decent processor (I am thinking this - http://www.flipkart.com/intel-3-5-g...PMNV&ref=44e779cb-924d-4ce2-96e9-b785197a4465 ), a Graphic Card (I am thinking, this - http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-am...7ZXV&ref=b041fbb9-55c5-4a1c-b3c8-54ac0658790e
or http://www.flipkart.com/asus-nvidia...3TGR&ref=b041fbb9-55c5-4a1c-b3c8-54ac0658790e )
And a Motherboard (I am thinking of - http://www.flipkart.com/msi-z87-gd6...2WGX&ref=d9a45568-55c0-4f4c-8db8-170e8b814639 or http://www.flipkart.com/intel-dz87k...WCGJ&ref=d9a45568-55c0-4f4c-8db8-170e8b814639 )

And also tell me how all that might come out to be, i am at 1.5Lakh max.! And all of them are just flipkart prices and i expect to get components a lot cheaper than that!)
Thanks ;)

I would have gone with the ATI card and the Intel board.

You have selected the best you could buy with that price. Also check with eBay and local retailers, chances are that you will find a good price.

PS4 sounds like the easier and cheaper option, unless of course you're not planing to buy your games. :D

PC Games are manufactured in India so we get them at a decent price like Rs.999 (Less than $20) at launch!! And PS3 games are like Rs.2899-3899 even after 1 year or so! So its dirt cheap ;)

That sounds pretty good. I'm no pro, it looks like a solid build but I would get the Pro version of that Samsung SSD. I would also get this http://www.flipkart.com/seagate-barracuda-1-tb-desktop-internal-hard-drive-st1000dm003/p/itmd6uyz2g5sdhgh?pid=IHDD6UYN8VR4HRMA&ref=dcb84538-a93c-4156-89e8-4829ea54bfe0&srno=t_1&otracker=from-search&query=ST1000DM003 vs the WD. On the other hand a lot will change by January and you will probably have new options.

^^ I hope so or these components will have a lower price tag! ;) I am now thinking of -
Intel 3.2 GHz LGA2011 Core i7-3930K
with ASUS Rampage IV Extreme Motherboard
With 2x4gb this - http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-ven...FY3H&ref=edb9fbf3-c0f0-4099-b63f-6403bf706e2a
and this - http://www.flipkart.com/antec-eleve...ZCCZ&ref=baa6d8af-464a-4b9a-b513-a4de52aaa3e3
And yea SSD pro would be good but i'm afraid it would fair well in price/performance ratio....

Sorry I don't mean to go off topic but I love the avatar.

Just came here to say Good Bye :( Considering you will get addicted to gaming soon and won't be available here anymore.

C'mon man! You wanna make money or wanna waste that+your precious time on those junks?

I'll make games/apps for android...

I always use Tom's Hardware at tomshardware.com as my guide to help get the latest specs at the best price particularly for video cards. In the years ahead building your own machine is going to become a lost art!

As an internet marketer, you can do the research online by visiting tomshardware, anandtech, PCworld etc to get the part details and then check with online sites of india to get the part at cheaper rate then assamble it at home.

I am saying this as i wanted to buy one HIGH end gaming PC before 3 months and did my own analysis where i built one PC of around 1.20 lakhs (Around $2000+ USD)

Also, visit your local computer parts dealers, they will give you best price quote for all those parts.

Actually i wont buy online, i know a couple of distributors through a friend of mine so i'll get them cheap anyways ;) And i didnt posted on tomshardware as i'd have to post a lot of links and tons of links from a fresh account is generally referred to as spam....

the new AMD FX beat the intel core i7 in multitasking and gaming and its way cheaper so you might wonna go with that...I'm happy with it

Well, i would like to save as much as cash possible (Without *any* compromise, just like i chose 4770k instead of that 3930k as it was of Rs.40k and wasnt required at all. Remember that i plan to do video editing, design games/apps for ps4/android (PS4 seems less likely) so plz suggest me any changes if required. So final thing seems like this -
NZXT Phantom 820 Ultra Tower Cabinet OR Cooler Master Storm Stryker Full Tower Cabinet (Or plz suggest anything better!)
Intel 3.5 GHz LGA1150 4770K i7 4th Generation Processor with Corsair H100i Cooler
MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming Motherboard
Nvidia GTX 780
Samsung SH-224DB/IDDS DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive
G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3 16 GB (4 X 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-17000..
WD Blue WD10EZEX 1 TB Internal Hard Drive
Samsung 840 Series 120 GB SSD Internal Hard Drive (MZ-7...
Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2UK 750 Watts PSU
Am i missing anything? Please suggest me some fans for these cabinets and yea i am not listing monitor, keyboard, mouse, windows (who buys them anyways
tongue.png
). And btw, how do u install BIOS? I mean i dont really expect my pc to start installing windows straightaway!
