I took a trip this weekend to visit my brother. He works for a Major League Baseball team so I took in several games. After the Sat afternoon game leaving the stadium I saw something VERY cool...and very smart.
There were many street vendors selling bottles of water for $1 right outside the stadium...legit vendors, as they had street vendor licenses displayed.
Then as you crossed the street to go to parking there was a van handing out FREE bottles of water...with a mix tape CD attached with a super strong rubber band. (think of the heavy duty rubber bands that are on lobster claws)
There were 2 people handing out these bottles of water to everyone that walked by. Guess how many people turned them down? NONE
I would also assume that a large percentage of people tossed the CD in their card as soon as they got in them since they had it in hand and out of pure curiosity. I know I did.
So...naturally as soon as I started to drive away I thought to myself, "Sh#t, that is a VERY good idea!"
Think of how you could apply this to IM and high paying offers...
This could be done outside of ballgames, concerts, special events, or just in high traffic areas that people would LOVE a bottle of cold water for FREE...
This is what could be done...
Ok, now you might be thinking, "Wow - this could get expensive!"
...BUT think about it...figure 20 cents for the water bottle and then another 30 cents in materials (paper/lamination/rubber band) - and you are at 50 cent per piece - that is NOTHING when you compare how much a single CLICK would cost in these niches. Package 3-4 offers together and make the most out of it.
Whenever you can give someone something for FREE they are more responsive - and more likely to take a look at what you are offering them.
There is so much potential here, and if I had extra time I would be all over this like a fat kid on cake. So, I wanted to throw this out there and hopefully someone will jump on this! If you do give this a shot please keep me posted

- Outdoor Bike Path
- Running Path
- Busy Outdoor Shopping Centers
- Parks
- Etc...
This is what could be done...
- Get a huge supply of bottled water (can get them for about 20 cents a bottle)
- Find high paying offers and register a simple domain for each to have forward to each affiliate link. (think payday loan, credit report, credit cards, basically any financial offer) - Find stuff that pays $60-$80/conversion
- Create color mini flyers for each
- Get a home laminating machine and laminate them all - this way they will not be damaged by the sweating of the water bottles
- Rubber band all offers to each bottle - make a huge stockpile and get ready to hand them out to the masses!
