Thats a very good looking site. Dmoz listed etc . Everything about it looks legit(I havent looked into the revenue claims its something I wouldnt rely on)

You want to talk to the guy about his writers and contributors and whats the chances of keeping people on board.

Look at the search engine traffic graph. Note that semrush is by no means accurate, but it helps to estimate.

Even with that being the case, I think it's a pretty solid website to use as a base and expand elsewhere. See if the guy is willing to give you guest access to his analytics or adsense if you want more information.

Also, any idea what his reserve price is?

I think the site could be making a lot more, simply by moving their ads. I'd go for it.

Looks pretty legit. $200 a month is probably a good month though. They are monetizing with Adsense and who would click on the ads on a literary site? Maybe you could monetize it with Amazon book links.

If the $200 a month is legit and consistent. Then I would definitely go for it, with better ad placement you could theoretically make quite a bit more. He was paying the writer before, so what are you going to do about fresh content?
