Ok guys, I would first like to fill you in on a little about myself. I do digital marketing and SEO optimization in the auto industry for a living (mon-fri 9-5 gig) and I have been reading on BHW for a while now picking up bits of information here and there, but a recent project I have been doing for work has brought me to attempt my first independent IM journey using YouTube + Google traffic and Sharecash PPD.

For my day job I have been working heavily on ranking our companies YT videos which as you can imagine being within the auto industry its quite competitive. I have ranked many videos naturally with some low ranking keyword variations but I was ready to tackle a more competitive niche utilizing some SEO tools, and the information I have learned on BHW. So after starting that project I am happy to report that I have been able to rank #6 for a keyword that gets over 15k LMS in one weeks time. Now of course I am also ranking for a few other keywords but that #6 rank really opened my eyes and I thought to myself....

"wow, I know exactly what I did to get my video to rank so why not try my luck and make some money off of my ranking method!"

I can taste the #1 spot and will continue SEO on that project until I reach that position.

So with that said, I have decided on Google and YouTube traffic for my first journey. The first question is, what to do with the traffic that I get with my video? CPA?, PPD?, CB?, there are so many options out there and everyone on BHW seems to be biased to one over the other. The main reason I chose PPD is because of the skill set that I already have. I can make very professional videos (I do it for a living with automotive advertising), I know my way around photoshop (also use it a ton with my day job), and I also know some visual basic basic's lol (self taught using google of course).

So lets get into the meat of my Journey, we know I am using YouTube for traffic, ShareCash for monetization, and Visual Basic to create a program for my viewers to download.I started with some Niche research, and before anyone thinks about making some stupid key generators, itunes generators, MS points generators, etc please do yourself a favor and get an original idea. These markets are flooded, and odds are your video will be flagged and deleted almost instantly. There are a TON of other programs and files that people are searching for on a regular basis that you can leverage and make some decent income from at least IMO.

GAMEPLAN:

So about my Niche.....no I'm not going to share it lol but I will share some info about it. I will be focusing on 2 main KW's with a combine total of 14,000 LMS along with a few long tails. Tonight I will be building my program with Visual Basic and uploading it to ShareCash, I will then create an HD video of my computer screen with my voice demonstrating the program and its functionality. Now obviously my program will not really work, but I have the perfect idea of how to make it look 100% legit using some video editing tactics that I have come to learn from other forums around the web and my day job.Once I have my video created, I plan to upload it to YouTube using 1 of my PVA YouTube account's which I purchased through fiverr. (60 accounts for $5 bucks!)

I will then optimize my YouTube channel, video title, description, tags, etc. I currently am undecided if I want to use a landing page or 301 redirect from a high PR domain that I already own to my ShareCash download page, I will have to decide that later.

I plan to ping my video using the YouTube keyword tool, as well as Google keyword tool after I have completed the upload and on page optimization. After my video is indexed and has some sort of rank on YouTube I plan to begin off-site SEO as well as adding a few views,likes,subs etc. I will say that from my own experience ranking YouTube videos, backlinks and social signals have a much greater effect than views,likes,subs etc.

2) How do you build your yt videos backlinks? Do backlinks for yt videos are for yt ranking or g ranking? (I know they only rank for G, but just asking )

And last thing. : as everyone already said dont work with sc their offers are low try file ice or adnooka (heard they have good offers). I use file ce and they improved their offers lately and awm are pretty good too. AAnyways don't do shre cash.

Good luck buddy! Like you said, "The Sky is the Limit"! You might want to consider doing CPA with AdWorkMedia. They offer a content locker you put on your own site. If you want low income, go with ShareCash; But if you want to achieve something great, go with AWM.

I appreciate all the advice, and glad to see there are many interested in following my journey!

As far as why I chose Sharecash, or why I don't use CPA, or why I don't use one of the other solutions out there is really just this. Right now the money to be made from the video is the last thing on my mind, and I believe that this is the mindset that people need in order to succeed at this type of a project. Right now my goal is ranking, testing, testing, and more testing. Sharecash took me about 30 seconds to set up, and will make it nice and easy to get a baseline of statistical data to branch off from when I decide to do so. I will absolutely end up changing my monetization method after ranking to the top, most likely I will buy a content locker and use one of my own .com's.

Until I hit that #1 spot however, I am only focused on a few things:

Number of real views per day - Lets me know if I am generating any traffic flow obviously

Time spent watching - Lets me know if at what point people stop watching, which will help me tweak the video to allow for more engagement

CTR - The clicks I want are only to the sharecash link, I don't really care right now if they fill out the form and I get paid. I just want to know that I am optimized to get the clicks to the link, changes to where they go once they click can be ironed out later.

There is competition in my niche, and I look to not only beat them in the ranks, but also beat them on the quality of their video, software design, on page seo, and finally monetization. Quality work will always prevail.

Lets face it, if I had a video generating 100 real views a day, how hard would it be to make money off of that video? Not hard right? Traffic and rankings first, money mindset after.

Right now I have a dedicated laptop for running GSA SER, I set up my own VPN on the laptop and let it roll. I am not a GSA SER pro, but if you watch a few tutorials, take your time and build one good project you can copy that project over and over again to get the same results.

Backlinks help ranking on both Google and Youtube, I don't care what anyone has to say in disagreement that backlinks don't help rank YouTube video because I know it works. I have ranked videos with almost nothing but on page SEO and backlinks, google and youtube are one in the same in my eyes. Social Signals I have also found to be a HUGE impact on video rankings.

When building links it depends on the project, but I don't ever post to anything below a PR1, and I always use my keywords to target the sites. I also use GSA Indexer to help with indexing the links faster because even with 1000 verified links you wont see any push unless they are indexed.

Now on to the project update!

PROJECT UPDATE 6.19.2013

1.I got home last night and began getting my layout and design started for my Visual Basics program. The best way I have found to make a program that looks and feels real is to utilize photoshop. So I opened up photoshop, designed my program, buttons, etc and saved them all as .png files. Once again, you don't want to just outrank your competition, you want to beat them in every aspect of your project!

2.I imported my images that I created in Photoshop to Visual Basics, filled in the codes, added some copywrite text, version number etc to make the program look legit. The other thing I strongly suggest is to make a nice desktop icon for your program, when looking at a video showing your program people get nervous about the standard white box icon. A nice clean desktop icon will make people feel safer about the download and they will be less likely assume its a virus.

3. I uploaded my .exe to Sharecash

4.I created a video for my program. I used a simple screen capture program along side my real voice and provided a simple tutorial on how to use the program. This video is very important, I probably recorded it 20 times before I was happy with how it looked, sounded, and felt. I also showed the video to a few friends not telling them that the program was fake to see if they believed it.

5. I uploaded my video to YouTube, optimized the title, description, tags, etc

6.I used the YouTube keyword tool as well as the Google keyword tool to ping my video.

7. I set up a new project on GSA SER and started to build links to the video immediately. Currently I have 321 verified links on PR1 + pages.

8.I used enhanceviews to add a few likes, a few favorites, and 3 custom comments that look and feel real. One example of a comment I used "Downloaded the program, didn't work the first time, but the second attempt it worked just as shown in the video. Thanks for sharing this!" Comments like this make the program seem real, don't go over the top, because if something sounds too good to be true people will assume its fake.

9. I purchased a Fiverr gig to drip feed 5000 views, 50+ likes, and favs over the next 15 days. Might sound low to some people, but like I said from my experience backlinks will rank you faster than views, likes, etc.

Currently I am not in the top 100 for any of my keywords, but I expect that to change relatively soon.

PLANS FOR TODAY:

1.Continue link building with GSA SER, also use Scrapebox to find some relevant URLS.

2.Upload the video to a second YouTube account and recreate the same steps above for that video link.

Hopefully this post isn't too much to read, I am trying to be as detailed as I can be!
