Hey guys,

I had alot of South Korean traffic on my website untill 2 weeks ago. A massive drop of south korean traffic occurred.
Well I checked... and checked some more when I finally found what was causing the korean drop...

South Korean ISP blocked my website (its an hentai website - with non censored hentai)
All my daily korean users now see a warning page from korea

Now I have to find a way to get around this south korean block..
I'm not sure how they block my website. It could be a domain block or IP block or both...

Anyone know a way to go around the South Korean ISP?

Yes, its an hentai site (drawed nude women) with no censoring
 
AFAIK, south korea put adult niche in illegal. there's strict rule in there. so you cannot do anything. CMIIW
 
Wait, is South Korea also censoring porn hosted outside the Country?

If so, you can't do anything about the South Korean audience. But if SK doesn't censor things out of the country just host it elsewhere and use a VPN to manage it without being seen.

Hm... So its KCSC. So there is no way in bypassing it?
For example:
- Buy another domain and do a 301 redirect?
- Or Make a proxy website (like they did with the piratebay)

Anyone has any experience in this field?
 
If you main traffic source was from South Korea then I would recommend you to buy a new domain and use it as your main domain. 301 redirect your old domain to the new one.

Create a new page from a new domain in Google or on a popular forum. Target the keyword like "xxxx.com down for you? use this proxy to access it" and in the forum post place details of how to use a proxy website to bypass the block. Then blast it with some links to get the forum post/page ranking for that longtail.

You can salvage your visitors that way if they are returning visitors.

Any idea how I do this? Similar websites are used for thepiratebay like this one.

Yes but you can't tell your entire audience to use a proxy. So that's what I was trying to tell you.

If your country is censoring a certain type of content, then the only way out is for people to use proxies/vpn/etc. But if it's a problem with your specific site and domain name, just do as others said, host out of SK and buy new domain, 301 to the new domain.

No, I have a plan with the proxy domain. But I need to find out how to do it though.

You can try using a new domain and doing 301 redirect for the new site. However since the south korean rules are strict, your new domain might also get blocked soon. Instead you can try using a VPN with the same domain and different proxies, mostly that would run longer than a new domain.
 
If you created some sort of email subscription on your site (maybe so they get new content etc.) you could email them and tell them to use a proxy or something similar.
 
I'm pretty sure it is only a domain level takeover from them.

What people do is they have multiple backup domains if one of them gets banned, switch to another one. And let your users know of the other addresses in case the main domain gets hijacked.

As for a redirect, you can use the cloaker script 2013 found on this forum. It has a CURL function which retrieve any remote pages.

But if you need to proxy your whole site, you'll need something a bit more robust I think.

Look at YOURLS, it is an url shortener software, there's many addons where you can do all kind of stuff with redirects.
 
a good FREE dyndns provider that's been around for a while:

You got to be careful because the provider can potentially STEAL your links and put their own LP/offers on it once you have enough traffic.

but I doubt these guys are doing this.

What happen if you change your host So that your DNS Ip will be changed (I think).

PS: I don't know much about Domain, Hosting issue. Just my ideal minds thinking LoL.
