Hey all,

So I have over 1-million total fans on some fanpages left from the good old Facebook times. I haven't really dealt with Facebook for a long time. But recently, I tried to use the pages to generate traffic to my main website, but it didn't go very well.

Is there any "trick"? Or should I just sell them?

It really depends. Who is liking your pages? Age, Country, Sex..) What are your pages about?

Most of my fans as I remember are USA UK AU CA

How did you promote your website? If you fail once, don't give up. A million fans is a huge amount of people. If 1% of them were to click on your ads per day. You would be a rich man.

Facebook will reduce homepage publishing priority to posts which simply link to an external website.
Meaning that fewer people will view a post simply containing a link outside facebook.
It does this to try to keep users from leaving Facebook and normally viewing more ads etc. and also so it can initiate page owners to use the "promote post" feature (making it even more money)

I suggest you try to reactivate your pages by posting some nice content:
- download funny videos from youtube and re-upload them
- images from 9gag or imgur
- articles and useful information

generally stuff which will make the users want to share the post on their wall. This should be the ultimate goal since this is the way you get more impressions and ultimately more activity.
This is why you can see pages with 300,000 Likes but 2,000,000 Talking about.

After you've done this you can either sell the page (at a higher price) or monetize it!

WHen you find some time take screenshots of your admin panel (Likes, Talking about etc..) and send it over to me. After that I will tell you what to do, of course if you're intereseted in my opinion.

Facebook page interface is dependent on how much organic traffic you gain, on that basis, you can get analytics growing & recommendations also play a leading role in adding value to your business... :)

Facebook now limits the amount of people your posts reach. While you may have 1 million followers, your posts will probably reach less than 100,000 of them.

In terms of making your posts profitable, KNOW YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC. Get in the mindset of the typical person who likes your page, and think what kind of products they can be sold on. It will be different for every Facebook page, and it is often hard to find the right offer, but it is certainly doable. You should be able to make pretty good money off of 1 million fans.

Please don't spread lies. My page has 95K Likes and every 4th post is seen by more than 100K people. It depends on the post...

He's saying what he knows, that's not lies. And as you can see, you've reached more people than your fans number, which means that your friends of fans saw the post. I believe he meant reach within the fans itself.

you can always sell posts depending of have receptive your fans are. I am about in pm you
further details .this pic was a pic of a post done to an account with 126k likes.

LOL.. He's not lying, organic reach is around 10% of fans, your post is seen by 100k people of which 90% is friends of fans.
