Hi all,

I recently ventured into the PPD market and I'm getting pretty good results (actually can't believe how easy it is to make money with this :D). Was just wondering if I could increase my conversion rate with the password method. I'm currently directing visitors to a landing page that furthers explains the product and has a download link to the actual file they want. Someone told me I could increase my conversions by offering the intial file with a direct download (from mediafire for example) in zip format and password protect the file they want. Included in the zip file is a text document that explains they need to download the password from the PPD link..

The idea behind this is that people already downloaded the file so they really want it.. therefor they are very likely to download the password file although they have to do a survey.

Anyone that has tested this theory?

regards

Yeah it works great. The only thing is that you have to keep track of your files that they haven't been deleted from the uploading site. (:

Password method does increase rate, depends on the file also.

Downloading file makes you feel you're one step closer to the product, so test it.

IMO, you'll see a nice result.

which sites would you recommend for that?

Probably a self hosted downloading site. No public sites are 100% reliable. Dropbox works pretty good, but they could shut down your files if you're getting too much traffic. :)

Well, since you are going for that, here are 3 sites that will help you keep track of your links:

http://urlchecker.net/
http://rapid-hook.com/
http://multilinkchecker.com/

Choose the one you like most. Put all your links in a notepad, and one day, when you will have like 50, 100, 200++ links, on a daily basis you will just copy/paste the links in one of those sites and see which one is down (instead of manually checking every link)

Now you can google for these kind of sites, no need to use the ones I put in there. Who knows, maybe I own one of those sites and I am tracking the copied links, and all I want is to find out what you are doing, but lol, I'm just kidding. But trully, someone evil could be so smart to do that, but so stupid to not make a buck by himself :D Oh well, pop another beer.

This is something I have never known. Good info
