They have been doing this for a while, luckily you saved your AdSense account now.

Maybe you can do this? i haven't done this yet but i'm planning to test it out soon.

-Make tumblr blog
-Buy a domain name off of godaddy
-install WP on domain
-Install a tumblr WP theme on your domain
-Go to settings -> insert url domain in settings
-Insert hosting information from tumblr to godaddy domain information
-Profit?

Or you can host your tumblr blog on whatever hosting you choose

Ok I can't believe I am doing this but give this a try, things you will need, a website email scraper, and some good will, go here http://campaigns.conduit.com/Mobile...?srl=1016472&gclid=CLn7iPGUvrcCFRDl7AodmXUAiw and get good at making mobile apps for websites, it's not hard to do and you don't need and any technical knowledge to make it work, once you are good at making cool apps, then scrape emails from websites and send the owners a email like this. Hello I noticed that you don't have a mobile app for you site, I have already made one for your site, if you would like to review it please contact me back. The rest is up to you good luck.

There is a similar method floating around here somewhere doing the same thing but with mobile themes.

Hey Erick, it's impossible imho ... you cannot run WP theme on your own domain and server (it means DNS points to your server) and with the same time change DNS to tumblr to run tumblr on your domain

you can only points DNS to one server ... so if to tumblr's, you will have own domain and control over domain, but not over content, its still on tumblr's scripts and servers

Hmm interesting. Thanks for the heads up lol.

What i'm doing now and i know you read my journey thread before was, i bought a domain name and basically used the tumblrs hosting and connect it with the domain on tumblrs settings. If you know what im saying. Thats what i did for my main tumblr blog

I know, just be sure to drive all traffic to root of this domain, cuz if you get ban, you can quickly setup an own virtual and still catch all this traffic from retweets and remaining accounts :)

$20 dollars is enough for a domain and a few months of hosting. Get traffic from tumblr to your website and monetize on website only.

And just build more tumblr acc. and from now on consider that they might ban them as well. So.. keep on building more.. simple

fuarkkk lol you're smart. I actually didn't even think about the last part. I'm assuming you mean like setting up another tumblr blog if the main one gets banned and connect the domain again with the new tumblr blog

There are ways to help prevent your Tumblr blogs from getting banned.

Unfollow the Tumblr Staff

Use unique titles and descriptions

Change the theme from default

Don't go overboard with the posting and liking until you have built up some authority

If you are using the blogs for pure SEO spamming purposes to the target site, don't follow many people as they might report your blogs and the blogs will get terminated.

I had some of my tumblr accounts suspended a few days ago,so I sent them an email to each of my tumblrs and said something similar to this "Hey I noticed that my accounts have been accidentally suspended, could you make them active again please, thanks" and I got some of them back but not all,so if you wan't to try and get some back, try emailing them something where you make it sound like they accidentally suspended your account,if they give you back your account they would say something like "thank you for pointing that out", I read about this method on a thread can't remember where.

All tumblr is good for now is to drive traffic to your external money site away from tumblr. Your just going to have to figure it out I guess

I'm new to working with Tumblr but this seems on the money to me based on common sense and my seeing many people complaining about getting banned. Keep in mind It's pretty easy for Tumblr to search their network for anyone using a certain way to monetize simply by searching for the domain name (like plugrush).
