Hi everyone !
I'm very excited right now and want to share with you what happened to me.
Yesterday, I received a notification from NameCheap about the renewal of one of my domain. It's a 2 year old website I don't update anymore and I was ok to only let it die.
But I choose to give a try contacting few websites in the same niche to make an offer and it was a very good idea!
So, this is what i did. I entered in Google my main keyword and visited every websites in the sponsored area (top and right). These guys are ready to spend money so I have more luck finding a buyer amongst them. There were 9-10 websites, I send them this kind of message :
"HI,
I'm looking for a buyer for my website XXX and I think you could be interested. It generated only about 150 vistors per day but they are ultra target and you could easily drive the traffic to your own website and convert.
I am selling it for 150?. I sent this email to you and your competitors. The first in, the first served. blabla"
Only 5 minutes later, I received an email from someone who seems very interested. He told me that he will tel to me the next day to discuss about details etc .
10 minutes later, another person replied to me. But I say that I already get in contact with a buyer. She says too bad, she was ready to pay more 150?.
The next day, another email from a guy who is ready to pay 1000? to buy my website ! At that time, I was very glad but a bit embarrassed because of the first guy who contacted me 5 minutes after my mail. But he convinced me telling me that he can pay immediately through PayPal and I accepted. I said him that the website used to generate around 1? per day few months ago, but now it makes nothing. He said that he doesn't care, he only want to prevent his competitor from taking advantage of buying my website
I sent an email to the first guy to apologize. I was sorry saying that the first in will be the first served but I cannot miss such a big offer.
In the afternoon, he tel to me and said that he understand my choice and he would probably do the same in my case. He asked me what he could do to improve his rankings and I tried to give him some tips. He told me that I know my stuff and he will contact me again soon to give me a job to SEO his website.
I feel double lucky and it's a very good feelings
