Question On Selling Leads

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about setting up a new stream of revenue for myself and just need some input from people experienced in this.

I'm thinking of setting up local websites and selling leads. However, I have a few questions.

How do businesses respond normally to you trying to sell them leads or try and establish a partnership with them?

How much do leads usually sell for? For industries such as lawyers, dentists, cosmetic surgeries etc.

How do you go about putting a phone number on these sites or do you at all? Obviously people will be expecting to be put through to a business phone with a receptionist etc.

When you capture the leads, use a form, don't get calls. That way, when you sell to the dentists/whatever, THEY will call them. I'm not too sure about how you would go about selling the leads, you need to sign a contract.. Any others input?

Im sorry, you're mistaken.

This is what you need to do:

Go to Callfire and get one of their numbers then forward that number to the main business line, that way the lead will talk directly to your client.

Callfire provide reports to keep track of the leads sent to your client. Also they have a "whisper" that let your client know you sent them that lead. And yes use the regular contact forms as well that will forward the info to your client.

As far as pricing, that varies on many factors. For home services usually ranges from $40 to $80, also depending on the price you can decide to offer "exclusive" leads or share ones.

^^^He's right get a phone number you can have redirected to whoever you're selling leads to. Offer some companies leads for free as a sample if they close one they are most likely going to be willing to pay for them. Capturing e-mail wont be worth as much as someone directly calling, I mean what if they follow up 3 days later when they've already gotten their teeth fixed or already met with a lawyer? It's still worth it to have but whens the last time you entered your e-mail into a form to make a dentist appointment? I think most people would just call?
