As you know, new members can't send PMs untill they have 15 posts.
I understand that this rule is important in order to prevent spam and bots, but I feel as though that number is a little bit too high. 10 would be a better limit meby?

If that can't be done, then at least allow new members to PM the staff here at BHW.

I'm saying this because I want to sell a bot on BHW, and the readme thread in the 'buy/sell' forum said I need to get in contact with a moderator, but I can't do that since I don't yet have 15 posts.

So I believe that the 15 posts rule actually increases the amount of spam on the forum.

Perhaps an option to send a single PM/day only to moderators or an email or something like that would be usefull? (I'm sure it would be to me)

Thank you!

LE: The title was supposed to be "New members can't send PMs rule". Can a moderator please edit it? Sorry about that.

If you actually read the BST properly, you would also have seen you need 100 posts & be a donor before you can sell anything on BHW. Having 15 posts to PM a moderator isn't going to help you there.

If the limit was lower, all the staff would get is PMs from new members asking to change rules, bypass rules and do whatever they want.

The 15 post rule has been in place for years (at least 4!) so I can't imagine that will change any time soon.

This is the second thread in 2 days on the same exact topic created by 2 people who joined this month, Wiz already gave the answer in that other thread. If you are saying a pm limit increases the spam, creating a thread that was answered yesterday is considered what? Besides, if you would like to be in the BST section the requirements are much more than 15 posts

You need to be a donor or Jr.VIP to sell stuff + No infraction + No newbie + 100 quality posts.

Being able to PM is not the only requirement for a BST.

You need to read again (the BST rules)

I think 100 would be a even better number. And 60 days in.

I think most if not all of us that's been here for a little bit are glad that there are a 15 post minimum for PMs.

9 posts is not nearly enough experience on the forum to sell anything on BHW (IMO)

People need to have interacted with you before and trust what your putting out before buying anything. (Not fool-proof)

How do you expect people to buy anything from you if they don't believe the person/team behind it provide quality?

I'd say, maybe PMing the mods could be allowed, but then again, I doubt they'd want to be bothered either.

Sorry OP but you are not going to get much sympathy opening this thread...

But at least your OP told everyone you are lazy...

I understand why you guys might not want to change the 15 posts rule, but how about my other suggestions? 1 PM/day to moderators only? 1 email?

About the other rules to posting in the markerplace. I know persons that can vouch for me, I will provide an youtube video showing how the programs work and I agree to donating to BHW. None of the above is an issue, except for the 100 rules post, but I was hopeing we can work something out as I meet all the other requiremets.
Even more, I can send the bot to one of the moderators/admins to test it so you guys know this is not a scam.

Thank you for your time.

I think you need to read the rules once again. You can check them out http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/bhw-marketplace-rules-how-post/376128-buy-sell-trade-rules-guidelines.html.

  1. You must have 100 or more quality posts.
  2. You must have Jr. VIP status.
  3. You must have been a forum member for 90 days or more.
  4. You must be free from infractions and bans.
  5. Your product/service must comply with all BHW rules, including but not limited to, no forums, no coaching, no illegal services. Check the rules before deciding on a thread.
  6. Your thread should include clear contact and refund policies.
  7. Your product and service must be of quality and priced reasonably. BHW staff will be the sole arbitors of this.
  8. You must have 10 or higher reputation.

That's my initial point proven. You just want to bypass the rules as you think you have some friends who can vouch for you. Moderators would be bombarded with requests to "make an exception" or "work something out". There is no point having rules on such a large forum if we made exceptions. We get requests all the time to review random products/services - if there was no posting restriction on BSTs it would just be an endless supply of junk to try.

If you want to sell anything here, you need to build up trust anyway. A YouTube video or someone vouching for you isn't going to help, unfortunately.

hey listen man RULES ARE RULES STOP giving your shitty suggestions and follow the rulez
If I'd been living by that mindset I wouldn't be where I am today.
This is the Suggestions Forum. I'm allowed to post suggestions, BHW staff are allowed to take them into consideration or not, they are allowed to read my posts or not, but this is not the place to blow steam off.
Thank you.

15 is high, but 10 is ok?

Make it 20.

What could a new member have to PM staff about before 15 posts?

Thank you cool.dude123 for the JV idea.
Also, special thanks to meathead1234 for clearing things up.

Sorry if this thread caused trouble to anyone. Perhaps others that think like me will find it usefull in the future.

Thank you.

You can suggest all you want but these rules have been established over the past 5 or 6 years and in fact have had to be modified due to the influx of new people joining BHW just to try to use it as a source of income. This is an internet marketing forum (where people share ideas) that just so happens to have a marketplace where established members can sell their products if they meet the requirements.

You have the privilege of being a member here for now... In time, hopefully you can contribute and share and then we will have the privilege of you being a member here. Until then you just have to try to establish yourself, follow the rules, and see what happens.

Not exactly the best start for you but we can see you are determined.... Lets see where it goes from here.

Good luck!

Probably not if, like you, they don't use the search button first.

If you cant reach 15 posts on a forum, then why bother?

at least he has 17 posts in his first month. so pms not a problem
i hate those threads like this when member posts something like this.

i have been a lurker of bhw for some time but still cant send a pm why?
then u glance at there join date and it says 2009 - 2010 - 1/2 posts
there the worst kind

Piggybacking off of this active thread. What determines what's a "quality" post, and what isn't? I've noticed that my post count hasn't changed.
