What pricing structure do you guys implement for your Local offline SEO clients?

For example, Upfront setup on page SEO fee or One time fee to get to page or Monthly recurring?

Or charge per keyword? or charging for difficulty?

Any info would be appreciated

Yeh its based on keyword difficulty of course. Usually I outsource so the upfront payment will just be the cost of outsourcing, so I get no profit until I make their site reach a certain goal.

We charge upfront, then monthly fee varies greatly depending on the KW difficulty.

Usually when I first started out, this was the issue I had. I took the risk and did work first, whilst others sent first or even sent 50% upfront.

Right now I usually show them the success we have achieved, the companies we have worked with and I usually send them every single bit of
detail they need such as a plan of what we will do for them in a PDF, etc so all in all it looks very professional and this usually
makes them pay first without any hesitation. I also have a case studies sort of page where they can read the comments, and the exact
techniques we used to achieve the success for the other companies.

If you cannot get them to pay first, get them to pay a % upfront.

I do upfront payment, 500 a month (minimum). Monthly payments. Keywords and competition vary. One way to price is based on a combination of the difficulty of the keywords ranked, estimated traffic they will get, and projected income made per customer for the client.

I get first and last month payment up front on a 12 month contract.
Average client pays about $1,500 month, a few pay $2,500 month.

I separate my plans into what services are offered. If they want something simple with a low amount of keywords for localized traffic then that will be the minimum plan. If they want something that is more nationwide with 15 keywords than we are talking, Press Releases, Google Places accounts, Quality linkbuilding, submitting sitemaps, On-page SEO etc. but for a much higher price.

I always have to customize my plans for each client but they generally fall into one of 4 categories
